Conversion features:
o Rear barndoor and sliding door privacy windows (professional installation)
o Dometic Mini Heki roof light with forced ventilation; blackout blind, bug net and 2 levels of opening function.
o Full insulation and lining: base with insulator board, batten lined and 12mm plywood subfloor, with vinyl click flooring in place; walls and ceiling with sheep wool insulation and thermawrap for added protection from moisture. Wall lining with carpet and 6mm plywood; ceiling with tongue-and-groove cladding.
o Electrical installation of Wired Campers “Complete Camper Van Electrical System – 12V Split Charge & 240V Mains” system featuring the following
o Leisure battery with 12V supply
o 240V hook-up on driver side of vehicle, with 3x UK 3-pin sockets in rear of van
o 6x overhead spotlights
o 1x touch-sensor reading light with USB charger
o Tap and sink with foot pump
o Layout created with social space in van in mind – comfortably sit, read, eat with a group
o Live edge Elm worktop with tile backsplash
o Pull out bed to small double – length 178cm, width 135cm. 6 inch mattress with memory foam top; has been used and may merit replacement.
o Thru-axle bike fitting for safe storage in van
o Ample storage – bulkhead, under bed and bench storage, under crew seats, 2x cupboards under worktop, rail along bulkhead
o Custom made black out insulating blinds with suction cups to attach
o There is capacity to add electric tap/fridge/solar input, however this was surplus to my requirements when using the van. Note there is also no gas connection in the van; I chose to use large camping stove with the flexibility to cook outside when preferred.
