Ford Transit Custom nugget plus (L2)
This wonderful 4 berth campervan is perfect for those who love to adventure in style, with a few home comforts. The van can seat five people, making it ideal for family, or those wanting to go away with friends, while the bench can be pulled into a bed to sleep two people below, with the second bed situated in the pop top. Both beds are exceptionally comfortable, and the windows in the pop top itself allow for perfect aeration to keep the van cool in hotter countries, while the diesel heater is extremely efficient at keeping the van warm when it’s cold.
Perfect for a weekend getaway or longer trips, the van’s size makes it easier to park than most campervans, while the seats offer a comfortable ride for the longer distances, with lumbar support and inbuilt heating. An easy drive, the van itself is an absolute joy to drive, with decent satnav and inbuilt Wi-Fi should you need it. We’ve also installed a rear camera which acts as a better review mirror, and also security cameras to the inside of the vehicle that can be linked to your phone.
The van has plenty of storage for the longer journeys – including storage under the bench, and in the cupboards. The separate kitchen at the back of the van is perfect for those who love to cook, with a two-burner gas hob, and a deep fridge for all the essentials. The joy of the kitchen is that when the roof is up, you can stand upright and cook at a decent height without bending over and hurting your back.
We have installed a composting toilet into the van, which was extremely comfortable, and preferrable to some of the service station stops we found in Europe as well as being much easier to dispose of waste, however we are selling the chemical toilet with the van, along with spare chemicals, for anyone who might want to reinstall that unit instead.
This is a perfect van for adventuring, and has been an absolute joy to travel in.
The van was fully serviced in December 2024 (including wiper blades and key batteries being replaced) which also included AA european breakdown cover from the AA as part of the service. It also has a thatcham device fitted and paid for for 12 months from february this year, providing added piece of mind.
Selling reluctantly due to a change in circumstances meaning we won’t get the use of it for a few years, and would rather it go to a good home and someone who will make the most of it.
This a van converted by Westfalia for Ford so it’s thier official conversion and the ford equivalent of the vw californium. Love the layout and features, which make it unique with an l shaped kitchen, toilet with privacy screen, 2 sinks (kitchen & Bathroom) 2x 90ah leisure batteries, hot water, 40 literally water tank, external show westfalia awning, westfalia camping chairs, lounge dining area that can also be used as the 2nd bedroom. There is also a ton of storage starting under the sliding bench as well as across 8 cupboards (2 of which are large with 3 removeable shelves) and a drawer, a 40 litre top loading fridge, both passenger and driver seats swivel and are heated.
The toilet was a chemical toilet (which I still have), but chose to replace with a separating composting toilet that added another drawer and 3 extra storage cubbies as well as a usable surface for sitting on and putting things on, and it offers more options for disposing of waste than a chemical toilet, it’s also more comfortable as it has a proper toilet seat.
