Ford Transit T3500 LWB High Roof (L2H3)
Vehicle:
MOT until 22nd May 2025 with no advisories
Prior to 2020 the van was owned by the Canal and River Trust as a welfare vehicle and is very well maintained.
Engine starts every time and drives brilliantly
Fitted with a 62mph limiter so the engine has been well protected
New brake pads and oil change in 2024
2 x keys
6 gears
Cab has an upgraded sound system.
Body work is mostly good with a few age related marks, and one larger but not deep dent (might pull out but I’ve never tried).
Sills were replaced and welded in 2022 and van is generally corrosion-free.
Will also come with unused snow-socks (required by law for driving through mountainous areas of Europe).
Gorgeous self built high-roof campervan designed for off-grid and long term travel!
Conversion:
Fully insulated with sound deadening, Celotex and vapour barrier
320w solar panel mounted on roof bars
3 x 110ah gel leisure batteries with battery monitor
Split charge relay
240v hook up and battery charger
Diesel heater (new in 2022) and hot water system
3 ring gas hob
Sink and hot/cold water mixer tap
Gas locker with drop-out vent. Note: the van is currently fitted with a Spanish gas bottle as that’s where I last had to refill, but will be sold with both this and the original locker and empty UK bottle so once the current bottle is used up it will be a simple job to have the locker reinstalled. This could be done DIY or for peace of mind by a professional.
50l fresh water tank with sensor
30l underslung grey water tank with sensor
12v + 240v charging points + wireless charger
Top loading 53l fridge – 240v so runs through inverter
Pull out drawer that will fit a small porta potti
Pull out full size double bed (length-ways sleeping)
Projector screen
Side windows with mirror privacy tint
External 12v shower system
2 x Fletner spinning roof vents
Access hatch through to cab (this is quite small – I just squeeze through – but could be enlarged by the new owner)
This has been a fantastic vehicle for me. It’s a DIY conversion but solidly built and spec’d to include everything you could need for long and self-sufficient trips. I lived comfortably in this van for 1 year in 2021 and most recently completed a 3.5 month trip around Europe where I needed to work remotely from my laptop most days. Only selling as I now live within a CAZ and need to downsize to a smaller and newer vehicle. I’m going to miss it so much!!
This is a private sale so vehicle is sold as seen, but viewing and inspection welcomed! Due to an overseas family holiday I won’t be present to sell until June 29th, but viewings could take place before then (my boyfriend can show people around and is insured to drive), do contact me with any questions and for more photos, and I will be booking viewings with a view to sell June 29th and after.
Pull out lengthways full size memory foam double

Quirky loves this style means that Quirky Campers would potentially approve this vehicle for hiring. However, Quirky have not approved a Gas Safe certificate, a Weighbridge certificate, or the vehicle's electrics. Buyers must check these themselves. For some tips on what to look out for read this. If the listing has no Gas Safe certificate, no unladen weight and no electrical sign-off please proceed with caution!
