Full double bed
Just started to convert a silver Citroen Relay and thought I would offer if anyone would like to put their final touches on a bespoke camper that will be ready will be ready around the end of June. The conversion will be the same layout as the van in the photos but I plan not to have a log burner (The heating will be from a Truma combi boiler) and have an extra seat which will turn into a single bed turning the van into a 3-birth camper! The van has been converted in line with renting regulations; gas, 240v electrics, and weight have all been independently certified. This enables you the option to rent the van out through Quirky Campers if you wish, but also provides peace of mind regarding safety. There are 3 ways of charging the leisure battery:
1. The solar panel on the roof of the van.
2. Battery-to-battery. When the van’s engine is on it sends excess energy to the leisure battery.
3. Plug-in and play. When you are at a campsite/home you can plug a mains hook up cable into the side of the van which will power the UK plug sockets and give your leisure battery a deep condition charge through the Victron smart charger.
There is a Victron App that you can download which will show you your battery condition and other great information like how much solar you’re bringing in etc.
The Bobil Electric water heater is a 10ltr tank that is trickle-fed spare electricity, heating your water using excess battery/solar power so in summer you can have hot water for free! It’s controlled by a solaris controller and high current relay which monitors your battery voltage and stops the batteries from being discharged.
PLUMBING:
-66Ltr freshwater tank underslung (attached underneath the van)
-50Ltr wastewater tank underslung
-Whale swim and rinse external hot and cold mixer shower
-Belfast sink with Oak cover
-Kitchen sink tap, pull out spout that has 2 water modes

On the Driver’s side of the van, there is a lockable cap in which you fill your freshwater tank. There are 2 taps underneath the van where you can empty your fresh and wastewater.
HEATING:
-Anevay shepherd wood-burning stove 1.7kw
GAS:
-Calor 4.5KG butane gas bottle
-2 Ring stove
The gas bottle is stored in a gas locker with a drop out vent under the bed.
KITCHEN AND LIVING:
-Swivel Oak dining table which can be stored in the bench
-Thetford Porta Potti Qube 165 Toilet which stores in the bench
-Log basket which stores under the log burner
-Shoe rack behind the log burner
-Storage underneath the bench
-Storage above the bulkhead
-iPad stand at the foot of the bed with a USB port close by
-Professionally upholstered seat cushions, curtains and x3 reversible scatter cushions all made from black out fire-retardant fabric (Certificate provided)
-Loads of kitchen cupboard storage!
