handcrafted Ford Transit jumbo (L4, H3) off-grid campervan

This is my campervan conversion which has been recently completed in July 2022. The van is now ready to be taken away on an off grid adventure. Throughout this build I have concentrated on creating a sleek and clean build while also being extremely functional and as user friendly as possible.

Kitchen:
– There is ample worktop space in this kitchen, created from the L-shape design and keeping a majority of space clear from appliances
– Massive 90L fridge/freezer combination (77L and 13L)
– Good sized sink and tap for a campervan
– 3 burner Thetford hob
– Concealed shower unit with space for a cassette toilet
– Push to open drawers throughout the kitchen
– Maxxair fan fitted central to kitchen to provide extraction and good air flow, controlled remotely

Electrics:
– 200 Watts of solar ( 2 x 100w Renogy panels )
– 40 amp Renogy solar MPPT charge controller with Bluetooth unit and compatible app
– 40 amp Renogy split relay charger ( charges batteries while driving )
– 220 ah of deep cycle AGM leisure batteries ( 2 x 110ah )
– Renogy battery monitor
– Whole system is 12v making the van suitable for off-grid living
– 4 x 2 USB ports ( 8 ports )

Lighting and Ventilation:
– There are 5 individual lighting circuits in this van
– LED strip lights line the underside of upper cabinets for mood lighting
– LED lighting positioned next to the bed to act as mood / reading light
– 8 x 12v spotlights run the length of the van
– All of these lighting options are on dimmable switches
– Plus ample lighting within the garage area
– One large dometic top hinging window with a built in blind and fly screen
– 2 x universal venting windows to help ensure there is a good air flow

Gas:
– The only appliance running off the gas is the hob
– 22L undersling LPG tank
– Does not currently have a gas sign off however it is booked in for one

Water and Heating:
– 70L Fiamma water tank fitted internally
– 40L grey water tank fitted externally
– 2 x Shurflow water pumps ( hot and cold )
– 2 x Fiamma accumulators ( hot and cold )
– Heating for the van is run by a diesel heater
– The hot water in the van is also run off of the diesel heater through an exchange system into the 18L insulated tank

Seating, Table and beds
– The seating for the table is comfortable for 3 people
– Both bench seats have ample storage inside
– Professionally upholstered cushions which are dry cleaners safe
– Bench seat doubles as the 3rd bed
– Sliding table pulls out from beneath the main bed at a comfortable hight

Wood and insulation:
– The woods used throughout this build are; birch ply, maple and pine
– The wall cladding is a Oak veneered Acupanel with high sound deadening qualities
– Beneath everything there is ample Kilnmat sound deadening
– Recycled plastic bottle wool and celotex sheets for insulation

Storage and Extras:
– The design and organisation of utilities it has allowed for an extremely large garage area
– 3 x overhead cabinets lining the majority of the van
– Over the cab storage provides a surprisingly large amount of space ( super deep unit )
