VW Caddy Maxi *Price reduced*
The caddy has a 1.6 Diesel engine with 5 gears. It has covered 114,609 miles from new and averages 50mpg. I’ve owned the vehicle since December 2020 and have it serviced annually. It’s an ex virgin media van so was well maintained/ serviced before I got it. Apart from a few niggles this van has been really reliable and is lovely to drive.
Since owning the van I have had the following works carried out;
New cylinder injector
New rear discs and pads, these have only covered 4000 miles or so
New leaf spring
Last serviced May 2024
Mot until May 2025
Overall, the body work is in really good condition considering its 10 years old, it has age related marks and a few stone chips, scuffs on the bumper ( previous owner) the bottom half of the van is wrapped in matt gun metal.
This van has been lovingly built from scratch. It boasts a beautiful wood finish with a fun splash of orange perspex in places.
The walls are tongue and groove, painted white for a clean finish and trimmed by an anthracite vehicle carpet lining. The back barn doors each have a window and are lined with the same anthracite carpet with a paracord trim. Each window has an anthracite thermal window cover from Fuel Lagoon.
This van has two sliding doors on either side. There is a window in the nearside sliding door, surrounded by a handmade wooden window box and has a little grey curtain for privacy. The other sliding door allows easy access to ample under seat storage where an oak trim has been applied for durability.
There is an L shaped seating area that could fit three seated adults comfortably, although you must remember that this is a small van so the head height is not for the taller folk out there. The seats are handmade, painted white and finished with a light grey vehicle carpet lining. The cushions are memory foam and have been professionally upholstered in a dark blue herringbone cloth. The seat manually pulls out, with minimal effort, to become a sprung bed, built with wooden bed slats. There is storage under both seats, big enough to house a paddle board bag plus all your holiday essentials.
On one side, there is a cupboard and countertop, sanded and waxed to a lovely, buttery finish with countertop shelving at one end. The cupboard has orange perspex sliding doors with wooden handles. It houses a Power Oak 500 w/h portable power pack at one end which powers the two, dimmable, spot lights controlled via a switch on the wall. This can be rechared by a 12v socket located in the cupboard, easily removed and charged either indoors or using solar (not supplied). It’s light enough to remove and take with you for days out on the beach or picnics too. The rest of the cupboard gives plenty of space for smaller items needed within easy reach such as a counter top stove.
The camper floor is finished with durable American oak effect commercial lino. The camper is separated from the cab by a half height bulkhead, framed with wood and lined with light grey carpet. By pulling the two cab seats forward, you will expose the old rear footwells which add to storage but which is also more hidden from view.
The cab is clean and tidy with two very comfy seats. Along with the air conditioning, Sat Nav, Cruise control and rear parking sensors this is a very comfortable & easy drive.
There is an L shaped seating area that could fit three seated adults comfortably. The seat manually pulls out, with minimal effort, to become a sprung bed, built with wooden bed slats, topped with a memory foam mattress comprised of the three seat cushions. The bed is either a small double or a large single, depending on your outlook! It is plenty long enough at 2 meters.
