Conversion Description

Main Features:
This campervan is a top-of-the-range new conversion built onto a high spec base vehicle. It features a high top roof, an M1 pull tested electric rock and roll bed, diesel heating, an electric fridge, and bespoke joinery throughout.

Location:
The van will be in South London between the 12 and 19th of June, and then after that will be in Skipton. Viewings could be arranged on either the M1 or M6 on the weekend of the 19th/20th.

Features in detail:
– M1 pull tested Electric Rock and Roll bed from Fabworxs: M1 pull tested so you know that the seatbelts actually do something and are rated for carrying passengers. Electric operation means that the bed is able to fold itself back into a chair under its own power – no awkward bending over to lift it!
-M1 pull tested double seat spinner. Similar to the rock and roll bed, M1 tested means expensive, but that you could trust yours or a passenger’s life to it in a crash.
-5 Kw diesel heater connected to the van’s ~80L tank. Easy to control from inside the van, and even includes a remote to warm the van up before you go out to it in the morning!
-Thule bike carrier attached to the barn doors. Perfect for carrying two bikes, and unlike a tailgate still allows for the boot to be accessed when bikes are attached.
-Led lighting throughout.
-Thick insulation and sound deadening throughout.
-Kiravans curtains for all windows.
-Bespoke side unit, made from European oak and poplar plywood. Incredibly lightweight, and includes loads of kitchen storage space, cooking space, and storage beside the bed for clothes etc.
-12V Vitrifrigo C42 Fridge with remote compressor (which hugely increases the internal size of the fridge).
-Dometic 9222 sink and hob (with flame failure devices etc.) unit with tap.
-Vent in van roof above hob.
-Gas locker with drop vent designed for Campingaz 907 cylinder.
-2 x 20L food grade jerry cans for potable water – easy to empty and dry between uses so you can be sure the next water you put in is actually safe to drink!
-Underslung 20L grey water tank – crucial for making sure you’re not camping in a puddle of pasta water!
-230v hookup point feeding 2 sockets via an RCD.

About the conversion:
I’m a joiner who normally works on canal boats, and bought this van as personal project when there wasn’t much going on in 2020. However, I’ve since messed my left knee up and I’ve now given up on driving a manual vehicle again, so am sadly selling something I thought I’d keep for years. I’d consider part exchanging for an unconverted Ford Transit with an automatic gearbox.

As the van was originally kitted out for working on gas and electricity installations (leased to SSE), it started life as a twin battery van so was perfect for a camper conversion as it has a professionally installed twin batteries and charging system. There’s also a receipt for installation of the gas system by a Gas Safe engineer. The diesel connection for the heater to the main tank was also done by a garage.

If you’re interested to see the type of work I do on canal boats, one had a nice website made about it here: https://jessboyd89.wixsite.com/solitaire/photos

Beds Description

Fabrox M1 pull tested electric rock and roll bed with two belted seats.
– M1 pull tested = expensive, but great to carry passengers safe in the knowledge that the seatbelts would work in a crash.
– Electric, so the bed is lifted from bed mode to seat mode by a linear actuator. A great feature as being M1 pull tested, the bed is very heavy and sturdy, so lifting it wouldn’t be so easy.
