High Spec off grid Ford Transit

Two years ago we decided to quit our jobs and sell our house to start our travels to see more of Europe and beyond. After lots of research we found this well-kept Ford Transit from an electrical wholesaler that ticked all the boxes – and our Vanlife journey began.
It took us 7 months of endless research and hundreds of hours of work until we were finally ready to set off and explore Europe in our ‘Hotel Room on wheels’. I am a Mechanical Engineer with lots of experience in building houses and cars and no corners have been cut. We only used quality brand products and no cheap chinese alternatives.
We traveled 15.000km in 6 months from Norway to Bosnia and our Dumbo the Jumbo Transit never failed to impress us and everyone we met. It kept us cosy in snowy Poland and cool in hot Croatia. It has all the features for a travel experience that you won’t forget and is suited for pretty much anywhere.

Truma Combi 4E with 10L hot water heater and air heating – The space heating on this makes it like a mini hotel room. Just set a temperature and get cozy. It is very quiet and efficient

Handmade blackout and thermal curtains front and back – This van is pretty much pitch black inside once everything is closed. Served us well during our summer in Norway where the sun doesn’t set.

100L freshwater tank for lasting even further off grid. – This tank is fully insulated and heated using a thermostat. We had no issues during our trips through Austria and Poland during winter.
