Klaus is a day / overnight van and he’s wild about Argyll. We reckon he’d be crazy about Cornwall and might crave the Cotswolds too.
The backstory? We have kids and thought we would combine the mum/dad bus with the ability to overnight. We bought the base vehicle (which can convert into a double bed as is) and added a portable fridge, roof rails (for paddleboards) a bike rack for 2 MTBs, a rail for an awning and some swamper wheels/tyres to embrace the 4WD setup (we’re going to chuck all this kit in). We’ve have had some great adventures around Argyll and the Hebrides – this is the perfect vehicle for finding off grid spots – he’s not afraid of getting mucky.
We’re selling because having got a taste for this and with a growing family we’re going to move up to a larger sprinter/crafter type setup and venture further afield.
We reckon it’s a cracking setup. We’re the second owners and the van has a full service history.
Please note the interior of this ‘conversion’ is a completely standard VW Caravelle. We have only added the external features mentioned and are listing here because it might appeal to a like minded audience!
The standard rear seats of a Caravelle fold down and when combined with the rear seats folded and a mattress topper this makes a generous double. It would be possible to add a child bunk across the front seats (accessories are available but not included).
