Little Red has been designed, specified & built to be a totally unique, highly specified & luxurious go-anywhere off-grid adventure camper! The amazing VW 4Motion four-wheel drive system will happily take you wherever your next adventure calls – and take you there in rugged style!

Every part of this build has been professionally hand-crafted and lovingly created by the Slow Road Campers team using the very best components & appliances – resulting in a high-quality camper van that you can enjoy & cherish for years to come…

The styling in the living area is unique with slatted birch plywood strips on the walls & ceiling, combined with an engineered oak herringbone parquet flooring & finished with beautifully hand-crafted furniture & cabinets from birch plywood. The upholstery is a gorgeous dark grey natural blend linen in herringbone to compliment the flooring. The overall effect is a calming & spacious, minimal & clean, Scandi & modern.

The spec in this little van is insane! The high-end Victron Energy off-grid power system up will allow you to travel wherever you want for as long as you want, and still have plenty of juice left to power everything you may need. Your comfort is assured with the MV Airo 2Kw diesel heater and the kitchen is well-appointed with a Dometic 9722 sink & twin gas hob + Dometic CFX3 35 coolbox/fridge with Bluetooth control. Navigation is simple with the awesome Alpine iLX-F903D with Apple Carplay/Andriod Auto safely displaying all your favourite phone apps & music on screen.

Prior to conversion (from factory Kombi) the rear cargo area was stripped, fully sound deadened, insulated, vapour barriered, newly panelled & carpeted – then finished off with a unique birch plywood slatted style from floor to ceiling. Each individual piece of birch plywood has been treated & finished with Osmo Clear Matt Top Oil. The rear cargo floor has been fully sound deadened & a solid 10mm engineered oak herringbone parquet flooring laid. For additional storage, the rear barn doors and passenger sliding door have been fitted with Kiravans door store inserts, all finished in Black Raptor.

The furniture and cabinetry are all hand-built from beautiful birch ply. The kitchen is built around the trusty Dometic 9722 camper unit with sink, micro-switched tap (20L fresh + 20L waste in the under sink cupboard) & twin gas burner on piezo ignition. The gas is currently run to a Campingaz regulator (the little blue gas bottles readily available everywhere!) The kitchen galley has 2 drawers (one small + one large) as well as a hidden cupboard behind a magnet panel, above the lower gas cupboard. The excellent Dometic CFX3 35 coolbox is cleverly built into the passenger side bench to provide easy access when cooking inside the van – or to grab a quick beer from outside!

The dinette seating bench is u-shaped, wrapping around the rear of the van and forming a comfortable seating space for up to 4. The lagun table mount + birch ply table top offer the full range of 360 degree swivel options – giving maximum flexibility. We’ve also added a second lagun mount on the end of the passenger side bench – giving a second table position that works brilliantly as a desk served from the swiveled double passenger bench – or as an outside table when the S+S tarp awning is up!

The electrical system is fantastic with a 100Ah TN Power Lithium Leisure Battery, 175W Flexible Solar Panel, Victron MPPT (30Amps), Victron Orion DC to DC Charger (30Amps), Victron Lynx Distributor, Victron BMV712 Battery Monitor, Victron Multiplus Compact 1600W Inverter/Charger (70Amps) + Digital Multi Control. This powers the LED touch dim spot lights, LED reading lamps, water pump, diesel heater, Dometic CFX35 Coolbox + a couple of quick charge USB outlets + a couple of standard 12v cigar style outlets. From the Multiplus there are also 2x double 230V sockets for laptop charging & running ‘household’ appliances (rated up to 1600W). There is a 230V Hook Up Inlet to allow mains hook up charging and operation of the electrical system via Hybrid Power Assist when available.

The van will be sold privately by us (the owners of Slow Road Campers), rather than through the business – so no VAT will be applied.

We’re happy to offer the buyer our usual 6 month warranty on all of the campervan build elements of the van (excludes any mechanical, bodywork or specifically ‘vehicle’ elements). Any appliances and components would be the responsibility of the buyer to register with the manufacturers (as per our Bespoke Builds)
