Engine & mechanical condition: Very good despite mileage – during the conversion 2 years ago the cam belt, hydraulic steering rack, fuel injectors, were all replaced. All four brake pads and the clutch were replaced in September 2025. The van has only done 3000 miles since the conversion. It has been serviced annually since purchase in 2023. It has passed the MOT every year without any problems.

Persephone – a beautiful and luxurious camper van created three years ago by a team of professional carpenters, electricians and plumbers working with the owner – is perfect for couples looking for summer or off-season adventures.
Converted from the longest wheelbase Ford Transit with the highest ceiling, she is spacious and light, wood clad to give a feel of Scandinavian minimalism but with a personal and quirky feel.
A top of the range lithium leisure battery, two large solar panels and a discreet wooden portable wooden compost toilet mean that she is great off-grid for days. Sleeping under the stars is a dream in an Emperor-size bed that can be created in minutes in the purpose-designed seating area where at least 4 can eat dinner around a custom-made wooden table.
Dinner itself – or breakfast or lunch – are far from rough and ready. A hand-made wooden kitchen with lots of drawers and storage is fitted with an LPG cooker and hob (supplied by an underslung tank) making cooking easy and fun, a fridge freezer keeps all your ingredients fresh, and Persephone is being sold with a complete set of plates, cups, glasses, pots and pans, cookery knives and eating utensils.
A 90Ltr fresh water tank supplies drinking water to the sink via an 12v electric pump and to an LPG-heated external shower unit that means you can freshen up in the middle of nowhere. Bespoke overhead lockers offer lots of storage space.
Two solar panels keep the lithium leisure battery charged for off-grid living. On campsites, an inverter and external mains connection allow you to connect to the local power supply.
A Nighthawk router provides access to wifi for your phone or laptop even in the the back of beyond. There are plenty of powerpoints and USB ports too.
In the summer, an overhead electric fan keeps the cabin cool. In the autumn and winter, a programmable Autotherm diesel heater system keeps everything toasty warm.
We love Persephone and have had lots of brilliant adventures in her. But we will be spending a lot of the next two years overseas, so we’re forced to reluctantly sell her. That does mean that we’re open to serious offers on the price.

A super-comfy and roomy 2m x 2.2m bed can be created in less than 5 minutes in the u-shaped seating area inside the van. It was specially-designed to allow the central table and all the memory foam seating cushions to slot together quickly into a really lovely bed.
