Renault Trafic long wheel base HDS
This fine camper has given me great pleasure as base camp for completing the SW Coast Path walk, and a recent 1500 mile road trip through the highlands of Scotland and the west coast. I have now completed the SWCP and the the time has come to move it on for someone new to enjoy. It comes with a fresh 1 years MoT with minimal advisories. It had a small accident prior to my ownership, and the insurance company decided that at 30 years of age it was not
worth the repair costs and wrote the camper off as a Cat D. There was no structural damage, but some panels were bent. Fortunately a garage saw the potential in the camper, and as part of the restoration they carried out all MoT advisories were cleared, with a full chassis underbody seal applied, and a full repaint.
This is the rare high top version giving full standing inside headroom. The camper has been well looked after in my ownership having had various mechanical and cosmetic jobs completed, with invoices, to improve the vehicle. I was particularly keen to make sure that the cooling system was in top condition. Work done between July 2022 and
August 2024 includes: regular servicing, a carburettor gasket kit, full service and rebuild, replacement coolant, new radiator, new starter solenoid, new Varta battery, new brake fluid, and new spark plugs. Overall, the camper is in very good condition for a 33 year old having had a fair amount of money spent to bring it up to a good serviceable standard. It has manual steering and drives nicely, but it is not a sports car!
The interior is in excellent order, if basic, and perfect for a couple having 2 single beds, which can convert into a double. Other specs include a 12 volt internal lighting system, 240 volt hook up for internal 2 sockets, a good leisure battery, a gas Electrolux fridge, a 2 burner gas stove & grill gas systems fully checked), a portable toilet (new & unused). Water is
delivered to the sink by an electric pump from the internal cold water tank. It boasts a lot of storage compartments and cupboards for belongings.
