For sale is our self-converted Mercedes Sprinter 310 CDI. It has been converted to allow for short and long stay trips and has all the facilities you would need to enjoy holidays in the UK and Europe. The conversion was designed to support staying on sites with or without electrical hookup and with comfort in mind. It comes complete with a Fiamma bike rack and many items you would need for van living (see list further down).

The base van is a Mercedes Sprinter 310 CDI. It has been recently serviced and has a current MOT until 18.03.22. It comes with rear view parking camera, and an extra Autowatch Ghost 2 immobiliser. It has 152,000 miles on the clock and drives very well.

The barn doors have recently been fitted with a Fiamma bike rack capable of carrying 2 bikes.

The conversion includes wool insulation behind the ply lining both on the walls and the roof. This both helps to maintain warm (or cool) temperatures within the van but also acts to reduce noise.

The plywood consists of full birch ply or wisa-twin. All of which have been router cur for smooth clean edges.

There are 2 tinted windows which were professionally fitted.

All of the electrical system has been professionally fitted by Travel Volts. This includes LED lighting throughout, solar panel and charging unit. Split charger, double leisure batteries, USB socket in bed area, External electric hookup point, internal mains sockets coming from an RCD and split mode power supply for the Dometic coolbox. Generally the solar panel keeps the batteries charged fully during normal use including lighting, extractor fans and cool box turned on 24/7. The mains sockets are not usable unless there is a hookup.
The conversion has split the internal living space into 4 areas.

The bed area is at the back of the van. The bed is a very comfortable standard double size Eve mattress. In the back is a Dometic roof vent with fly screen and blackout screen. There is an LED strip light and light switch and 2 USB charging points. Beside the bed is fitted cupboard storage for clothes and other items. In the centre of this area is some open storage for things like phones and drinks during the night. There is ample storage space for clothes with a full height built-in cupboard one one side and high cupboard on the other. Its very cosy and a lovely place to sleep.

The kitchen area consists of a low cupboard unit containing all utensils, including double pull out cutlery trays as well as shelves for pots and pans. The cooking area is lined with aluminium sheet for easy cleaning and a great look. The cooker is a double burner gas hob with a gas grill underneath. Above this, there is another storage cupboard with double LED lights underneath. Above the kitchen area is a Dometic extractor fan which removes all the steam and cooking smells. Beside the cooker is a birch ply unit extending across the sliding door which holds the coolbox. One of the most highly efficient units designed to be run from a battery. There is a hinged table top above the coolbox to maximise surface area when cooking and there is also more storage underneath. The cooker runs from a standard gas bottle in its own cabinet with dump vent under the bed accessible from the barn doors at the back. There is a fixed washing up bowl next to the cooker.

The toilet is a composting toilet purchased from Simploo. Its has an extractor fan and all of the wee is kept in a sealed storage tank under the seat box. This means that it can be removed at a later date of your choosing. The composting toilet is well made and used extensively on boats and does not smell. There is currently a fabric curtain for privacy.

The main living area has a fixed seat box with cushions next to the window. It has a removable lid with storage underneath. There is also a removable table, specifically made to fit the area.

The van is fitted with a pressurised water system, powered by a 30psi Shurflo pump. the sink is next to the cooking area and the sink basin drains outside the van. There is a mixer tap which can swivel outside of the van for filling large bottles which wont fit in the sink. There is a 120L water tank under the bad accessible from the barn doors. An in-line water filter is fitted to the cold water. There is no hot water. Water filling is via a hose with a connector housed behind the barn doors.

The area under the bed is accessed via the barn doors and contains the water tank, water pump and filter and the gas bottle. It also provides a large storage area.
