Ford Transit L3H3
Proud to present my beloved off-grid van (and a popular Quirky Campers van) ‘Mahale’ – Not only is she beautiful and finished to a high spec, but she can generate you income.
Bought in 2022, spent £40K+ on the van and the high-end conversion. Now a popular choice on Quirky Campers. I am selling as I am nomadic and with 2 other businesses I’m finding it challenging to fit Mahale into my life and don’t have time to really enjoy her myself either!
Just passed its MOT ( 03/07/24) with flying colours. The van itself is amazing, drives beautifully – 2018 and roughly 95000 miles.

£34995 O.N.O! I’d like it to go to her new home by the beginning of August ideally! (August is a great earner!)
If you were interested in renting her out occasionally as a business, we would just tell Quirky Campers of the change of ownership and I would include the instagram too.
Mahale’s owner Jodie decided to reconnect with her gypsy soul in 2022 and convinced her mum to sell their co-owned home to start a new life. Jodie bought this van as an empty shell, partially converted by a company and completed by herself and her friends.
Mahale’s earthy, neutral, modern design creates a calm and safe space to decompress. So much thought has gone into sourcing sustainable materials where possible, for example, the floor is made of cork which is a great alternative to plastic, the worktops are made of waste sawdust, and the books were sourced from charity shops. It is perfect for a solo retreat space – light an incense, spend hours cooking wholesome nourishing food and brew a heart-opening cacao. Equally, this space is perfect for friends or a couple to connect – light the log burner, crack open a bottle of wine, and get cosy.
Mahale has internal 12v and 240v electrics, powered either by solar when you’re off-grid and it’s a sunny day or via a mains hook-up when you’re at a campsite. There are six 240v mains plug sockets in total, conveniently placed under the seating area and in the kitchen. Whilst Mahale does have off-grid capabilities for 1-2 days, high-wattage appliances such as the oven and induction hob will require a mains hook-up if used for an extensive time.
Mahale has everything you need to satisfy your appetite including; pour-over kettle, ‘Our Place’ large pan, saucepan, 4 mugs, 2 plates, 2 bowls, cutlery for 4, an assortment of utensils, scales, peeler, loose-leaf tea pot, 4 glasses, glass storage pots, 1 sharp knife, and a colander. A work surface covers the sink and there is an extra fold-out work surface to give you more room to prep your delicious meals. For storage, there is a floor-to-ceiling pull-out pantry and a smaller one to store your dried goods and a huge 93L fridge to keep your cool foods chilled. For cooking, use either the built-in induction hob (and spare one should you select from add-ons) or the mini electric oven!
Mahale has two large water tanks fixed underneath the van, the freshwater tank can be filled up from the side of the van and water from the grey tank can be released from underneath. There is a brass rain shower that is heated by a 6L boiler which is located under the seating area and the kitchen tap has a pull-out nozzle to make washing up a little more bougie. For your convenience, Mahale also has a basic toilet under the sink that can be pulled out, or it can also be kept in the shower when not in use.
Mahale has a beautiful log burner that was handmade in Glastonbury by a small artisan company.
Mahale sleeps two people in a small double (L=166cm W=117cm) that’s perfect for spooning! Transform the seating area into this snuggly den by releasing the table down and rearranging the cushions.

Quirky loves this style means that Quirky Campers would potentially approve this vehicle for hiring. However, Quirky have not approved a Gas Safe certificate, a Weighbridge certificate, or the vehicle's electrics. Buyers must check these themselves. For some tips on what to look out for read this. If the listing has no Gas Safe certificate, no unladen weight and no electrical sign-off please proceed with caution!
