LDV Maxus 2007 LWB
Pre-loved since 2018, it is a bespokely converted, completed off-grid camper. The layout has been made with space, lighting, comfort, and cooking in mind. There is plenty of counter space on Waney Edge Oak, and double side doors really make the most of any outdoor space you choose to park at.
Plenty of storage is throughout, including satisfying little cubby holes and a velvet-lined drinks cabinet. Its special feature is a handcrafted tile backboard from Pango Ceramics.
I serviced it every six months at the same garage (Venture Tyres) for 5 years, until 2023, when I moved garages and continued the same level of upkeep. The current MOT is until 28 November.
Brand new gearbox and clutch! Throughout my time with Max, I’ve had no major mechanical issues and kept on top of service and maintenance. The most notable problem was a common fault with this model’s gearbox: it would sometimes slip out of 5th gear. So last month, I replaced the gearbox and, whilst they were at it, the clutch too. I’ve got proof of purchase and installation receipt. You can see it’s shiny and new when you look inside!
