We bought this campervan in 2023 in preparation for some adventures. We’ve absolutely loved it – it is the perfect campervan and has done us proud. Our family has grown in the last two years (much more rapidly than planned!) so sadly the time has come for us to part.
This is the perfect van for a couple or two friends who fancy some adventures on the road. You could possibly fit two adults plus 1-2 children.
The basics:
– Mileage: 84,154 miles. 135,432 kilometres.
—Note that speedometer is in kilometres.
– Engine size/Cylinder capacity: 1990 cc.
– Fuel type: Petrol
– Transmission type: Automatic.
– Four belted seats. Original seat belt fittings.
– Fits in a normal-sized car parking space and get into vast majority of height restricted car parks! We have also found it is an easy drive on single-track roads, as found in rural UK and France.
– Manufactured in 2000, brought to the UK and professionally converted in 2019.
Condition
– External bodywork in good condition. Some minor rust to wheel arches as pictured.
– Internal furnishing and campervan fixtures and fittings in good condition with very minor wear and tear.
– Professionally cleaned inside and out in March 2025 in preparation for sale.
– Two sets of keys.
Vehicle and Service History
– Only two UK owners since it was converted in 2019 – us, and the couple we purchased it from in 2023. They had purchased it from a professional campervan conversion company in 2019.
– Passed MOT in April 2025. This was carried out by reputable local mechanic recommended by the Bongo Fury (Mazda Bongo members) website. New brake pads fitted and exhaust fully repaired. Paperwork provided to evidence this.
– One advisory regarding brake discs on front wheels, which will need to be replaced at the next MOT in 2026. Brake discs cost about £96 for a pair.
– In 2024 we had the air conditioning repumped so this is working well. We can provide reciepts as evidence.
– We can provide paperwork evidencing past services, repairs and MOTs back to 2020, including the 2020 gas safe certificate. We also have the original Japanese handbooks and manuals.
Good quality professional conversation undertaken in 2019.

– Good leisure battery which lasts well.
– Reliable electric hookup.
– Gas cooker with two hobs. Uses Camping Gaz.
– Water tank with running cold tap and sink.
– Fitted blinds on all windows.
– Plenty of storage
– Fridge. ‘Vitrifrigo’ brand with original manual included. Stays nice and cold.
– Collapsible dining table.
Everything in good used condition. We are only the second owners after the conversion, so the fixtures and fittings are only lightly used.
Extras:
– We will include our made-to-measure silver window-covers to block out lights on windows that don’t have fitted blinds.
– If sale agreed we can provide our:
— little portable toilet (never used, fits nicely in the boot)
—electric hookup cable.
– We also have a small kilometre-to-miles per hour conversion leaflet which we keep by the driver’s seat, which you’d be welcome to keep.
There are two sleeping options.
1. Rock and roll bed. Rear seats fold flat and connect to fold-out storage to form a small double in the main compartment of the van. See pictures.
2. Pop-up roof compartment pops up to form a roomy single or potentially a double. See pictures.
Note that the pop-up roof is opened by hand, rather than by an electrical mechanism – this is much more reliable and does not require as much maintenance as the mechanical version.
You could easily fit a couple or two friends with room to spare. Three adults might fit at a pinch. A maximum of two adults and two children, but you would be cosy!
