VW Transporter Caravelle
Meet ‘Precious’. Unfortunately, the time has come to sell my beloved Volkswagen Transporter 1.9TDI.
Precious and I have had many holidays around the UK and Europe, but unfortunately I have been using her as a daily for the past year and I feel she needs a new partner to ride with!
Summary
– 1995 T4 Transporter 1.9TDI
– MOT until May 2026
– 187,284 miles on the clock
– Roof Rack
The Conversion 🔧
She has a basic conversation in the back. Laminate flooring throughout the back with a Rock’n’roller bed, a gas cooker, portaloo, ice box and washing up area. Along with a large storage cupboard where I currently keep the awning and gas tucked away. She has a self-made worktop with two cupboards and a drawer for your cutlery etc. She has some curtains going around the outside which gives her a cosy feel, and battery powered spot lights with mood lighting.
The Cab 🚐
She carries one passenger and the driver. Is fitted with electric seats with arm rests, which I’m told by the previous owner came out of a Porsche. She has electric windows, a USB charging port and a Bluetooth radio system. She kindly comes with a CD of the previous owners band.
The Exterior 📸
Precious is white with a black bonnet and black roof. She has black bumpers to the front and rear. Some surface rust to the exterior, and some rust that may need some attention in future on the right wing (passenger side), but this is not visible to the eye. There are some scratches, dents etc to the paintwork, particularly on both bumpers. She has alloy wheels and tyres have good thread on ***I have taken a separate photo of the current alloys (see picture 2) . Sliding door on the side with tinted windows, and a barn style door to the rear.
Recent Repairs 🪛
■ She’s recently had a new power steering rack
■ New water pump
■ & Tracking
Precious is in need of some new adventures, she is ready to go and makes a great camper and/or day van.
She has a rock and roller bed that would fit two people. Bed is roughly 1100mm wide and 1900mm long when flat, and approximately 1100mm wide and 1200mm long in the seating position.
