Vehicle Description

Mercedes Sprinter SWB 214 1999 W901 T1N Camper – £7600

Keen to sell before I go away, open to reasonable offers.

I bought this van last year with travel plans in mind, but circumstances have changed! It had a new starter battery fitted in March, and the leisure battery is 8 months old, and it sailed through it’s last MOT – due in March 27.

Low-mileage, petrol automatic T1N that’s been professionally converted and well maintained. It drives brilliantly for an old van and feels solid.

2.3L Petrol Automatic 4 Speed
61k miles
MOT due March 2027
Barely any body rust, the van has been kept inside for most of its life and some extra work has been done to prolong this.
Central locking
Power steering
Electric windows
Fully insulated rear (floor walls ceiling)
Small storage over cabin
Over bed storage
Table (seats 4 adults) doubles up as bed middle and outdoor table
Double sized bed (not full double but fits 2 average adults snugly, 5f10)
New leisure battery 100Ah hooked up via split charge relay & 200W Solar
Double Gas stove burner
Bottle of gas, regulator and isolator switches
Large Sink with 12V pump to run cold tap
10L fresh water and 10L waste containers
DAB Sony head unit with Pioneer dashboard speakers
Rear cabin lights, with touch lights over bed
Panel switch unit with 12V usb
Diesel heater 5KW (pretty overkill but lovely in the winter!)
16A Campsite Hook up AC to DC Battery Charger
Reverse camera
Custom CNC gear selector

Previous Disabled conversion – couple of minor quirks like a button for a handbreak! Most modifications have been restored back to original however.

Kettle, cutlery set, pots, pans, plates, cups all included

Recent works – just before I purchased it, the van had:
– Full service
– Welding underneath
– Undersealing
– Exhaust pipe repair

Minor issues: rust appearing on passenger door at the bottom – easily restored.
Spots of rust here and there which I have tried to photograph.
But for a van of this age it’s an absolute beauty! It’s been well looked after.

Overall –
This is a practical, compact camper with very low miles for it’s age and has all the essential features – solar, diesel heater, hookup, electrics. It’s warm in winter, comfortable to sleep in, and very fun to drive.
Sad to sell!
