Mercedes Sprinter
It is with great great sadness that I come to sell my campervan, the Innovation Wagon.
I self-converted this campervan over the winter of 2021/22 but due to a new job and a move to France, Brexit bites again and I can’t take the campervan with me. This 65 plate Mercedes Sprinter was previously owned by SSE as a pylon repair van and was well looked after on a service contract. I converted this campervan with the intention of using it as a travelling workstation and would be the perfect van for any digital nomad.
Hopefully the pictures speak for themselves but the high level information about the van is as follows:
– Sliding double bed (stores as single)
– Tap and sink with 12V motor and accumulator
– 55L water tank and 20L grey water tank
– Overhead storage lockers – waxed birch
– Storage cupboards – waxed birch
– Bookshelf – oiled cherry
– Oak counter top, oiled
– Swing up extra counter top
– Walls with 70mm Kingspan insulation
– Floor with 25mm Kingspan insulation
– Roof with 40mm Kingspan insulation
– Full vapour barrier
– Double glazed side windows from Van Glass Carlisle
– Dometic mini heki skylight
– Thetford Topline 922 Gas Hob (2 rings, electric spark)
Energy System
– Electrical system designed by Nomadic Energy
– 220Ah lithium ion LiFePO4 batteries (2 * 110Ah)
– 390W solar panels (3 * 130W)
– Victron 360W battery to battery charger
– BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor
– Victron Energy: Smart Battery Protect
– Victron Energy battery monitor
– 2KW pure sine wave inverter
Fun bits
– 12V power outlets
– 240V power outlets (on consumer unit)
– Dimmable overhead lights
– Fairylights and lightstrip
– Bluetooth overhead speakers
– Swan reto-look 12V fridge-freezer
– Eberspaecher diesel heater connected to diesel fuel tank
– Overhead extractor fans
– Reversing camera
I bought the van with ~90,000 miles on the clock and only had the privilege of taking the van up to 103,500 miles.
Feel free to message or comment with any questions, the van is based in Peebles area for viewings.
This van really was a life project for me and has been completed with the intention of using for many years, you’ll be getting yourself a really high quality campervan with all the information on how it has been converted.

The bed slides out over the two rear chairs and table to become a full double bed, sleeping sideways.

Quirky loves this style means that Quirky Campers would potentially approve this vehicle for hiring. However, Quirky have not approved a Gas Safe certificate, a Weighbridge certificate, or the vehicle's electrics. Buyers must check these themselves. For some tips on what to look out for read this. If the listing has no Gas Safe certificate, no unladen weight and no electrical sign-off please proceed with caution!
