Mercedes sprinter lwb
Hi and welcome to my listing for my Mercedes Sprinter camper conversion.
This was bought last year as a project.
And was originally a insulated freezer van.
It was from a local company in Manchester who run a fleet of these yellow sprinters.
The van was an inter-europeon delivery vehicle.
And as such has a massive amount of service history. As such it does have high mileage. Really high.
The van is solid as a rock
Underneath is unblemished and has no rot at all.
Anyone is welcome to crawl underneath
It even has a cat guard to stop people stealing the catalytic converter.
It is the twin turbo version. Has working air con and working cruise control.
The van had a massive amount of insulation as per factory.
This has all been removed back to metal and treated.
The van had a freezer unit over the cab
This was removed and a new roof was constructed from fibreglass.
All van is watertight
It has then been insulated, with insulated board.
Soundproofed.
Voids filled with recycled wool and then wrapped and sealed with vapour barrier.
The floor has then been boarded and in 12mm ply and the walls and ceilings in 6mm ply.
12v lighting has been installed. With 4 wall lights, two of which are touch dimmable.
And also ceiling lights which are touch controlled.
It has a 3000w inverter running from the battery. With ac plug.
Diesel heater fitted, supplied by main fuel tank.
Situated under drivers seat.
And fed through bulkhead into the base a rear bench seat.
Ready to be routed wherever you wish.
Heater is remote controlled also.
Wiring complete via 12v fusebox for lights, heater and roof fan/vent.
The roof fan is a max air fan.
Fully working
Opening window fitted to sliding door. Sealed and leak free.
IKEA kitchen base units supplied built and ready to create floor plan.
IKEA kitchen worktops also fitted
Idea was to have a bed at the bank of the van which extended over the kitchen work top.
IKEA bed frame and supports included.
As are some sheets of timber and batons for creation of van interior.
Also two small memory foam mattresses.
As hoping to turn this into a four berth van.
There is another brand new window fitted which is at the rear drivers side of the van.
Roof rack installed which carries a 400w solar panel.
Connected into the van at the rear doors for battery system of your choice.
I was going to use a power pack for the 12v system.
Has been used a few times, for an overnight stay in the depths of winter and with the heater on is lovely.
Its usable van/ camper that can be used to put your own stamp.
The van passed its MOT in January. Probably done 1000 miles since then.
Costs and time prevent further finishing.
Plenty of blood sweat and tears.
I will try and upload some pictures of before and during also.
The van as said has high miles.
This will put most off at 660,000.
It’s service history, should alleviate any fear.
It had a new engine in 2022.
Purchased from mercedes, costing 9k.
And has had a few clutches surprisingly.
Drives really well.
6 speed.
Alloys
Fitred a reverse camera also.
And has security locks fitted to all doors.
Located in Manchester.
Come and have a look.
It won’t disappoint.
Ask any questions
