Mercedes Vario 614D
Hello, I am listing the van on behalf of my Mother, Annie. Should you wish to enquire, my name is Hamish and my contact details can be found in this listing, Should you wish to see the van it will likely be Annie who will show you around but please make an appointment through myself. The listing is writen in Annie’s words.
The vehicle has a known history and has been well maintained throughout its working life, I bought the bus in 2016 from friends (firsts owners) who used it as a disabilities adventure vehicle, it has done overland trips to Turkey and Morocco with them. It was converted and re registered as a motor home with the DVLA in 2016 and I was using it regularly until the pandemic around the UK from my home in North Wales. Life and circumstances have changed for me since then, I am hoping it will find a nice new keeper.
Here are some specifics about the vehicle

Bodywork
Recently welded wheel arches doors and bonnet, stainless checker plate skirt retrofitted 4 years ago and semi professionally resprayed baby blue with a stone chip undercoat and black stone chip roof 2022, has been in dry storage for 18 months with occasional outings.
Homemade to a low but functional spec, it is humble and works as is but isn’t comparable to a high end conversion, it has a simple fold out bed facing a quaint converted gas bottle wood stove and fireplace (see photos) which works a treat. This is a comfy, cosy space in the evenings. There’s a simple 4 ring vintage gas hob, sink, draining board suite and whale pump tap taken from an old caravan, beneath the kithen worktop is space for a gas bottle, 2x 25litre containers for fresh water and 1 x 15 litre container for grey waste water, there’s also plenty of space for food storage. There is a fold out table for 2 between 2 belted passenger seats opposite the kitchen area. Either side of the fireplace there are 2 storage cupboards. Along the edgea of the ceiling are the original overhead luggage compartments with original upholstery and padding, this provides very deep storage which when packed properly keeps its contents while the vehicle is in motion, at the rear of the space currently occupied by the spare wheel is a considerable area that could be used for a shower or compact bathroom. The windows have their original pull down roller sunblinds and quaint IKEA curtains (which I am happy to remove if they are not to your taste)
Included in the price will be a band new packaged kit to install 2 x 1meter solar panels, inverter and 2x leisure batteries providing you with 240v output, this was purchased during the pandemic but never installed, there is sufficient space between the drivers seat and sink unit for storing the batteries etc.
Also included is a pair of boxed spare headlams, which the previous owner took with them on long voyages, 1 bottle jack for changing wheels and a spare bulb and fuse kit in the glove box.
1 fold out double sofa bed
