Mercedes vario 814D
Mercedes Vario 814D LW 2005. 4.2litre.ย Fully offgrid. Registered as a 5 seater motorย home with DVLA. Mileage is 196,000km but will go up alittle. We have owned this van for 3 years and its been fantastic. Not one issue. It has recently passed its MOT(due 19th October 2026) with no advisories.ย The van was originally part of the Hampshire and Dorset fire brigade as a maintenance workshop van, so it has been very well looked after and kept inside the dry. Pictures can be found on Google. I believe it was de fleeted about 2015. The van is very clean, and there is no unwanted rust underneath. I have pictures of the underside from back last spring. Since then, i paid to have it coated in Lanoguard with a clear coat to protect it. There is a little rust on the rear sill starting but thats it. It has a heavy duty sump gaurd supplied by RL metalworks and a light bar.ย It has been a very much loved van, and we have made some lovely memories. My children are growing up and we are finding it more and more difficult to get away. Ready for the next family to enjoy and cherish. Genuine sale, any test welcome.
Fully equipped with hot water powered by Whale expanse underslung gas and electric water heater. Underslung 23litre LPG gas tank with various fittings for UK and Europe.(Autogas2000). Powers the water heater. Shower, hot and cold. 2 underslung water tanks. 80litres each. One for fresh water and one for grey. There are electric gauges for each.

On the dash there is the gas level meter, combined battery and leisure battery. Voltage meter and two usb charging points. The sound system is a Bluetooth amp that connects to a mobile, this is powered via the leisure batteries. It has uprated speakers at the front and also 2 larger ones in the middle of the van.
The roof rack came off an ex bbc camera van, so it is built very well. On top it has a
270W All-Black Polycrystaline Solar Panel (set into the roof rack 1600mm x1000mm).
2x120ah gel acid leisure batteries. These are set up as 24v with the Victron 24-12v converter.
