Conversion Description

MIDGE has now been SOLD. Thankyou for all the enquiries.

The time has come to part ways with Midge. My fabulous little micro camper that, due to a change in circumstances, is no longer going to be needed for future adventures.

I built Midge as a mini version of my big camper to be used as additional accommodation on our wild camping trips for friends and family to stay in and she’s been brilliant. She was also used regularly as a little run around because she’s so economical and also ULEZ compliant. But I simply don’t have the use for her as I barely have enough free time to use my big camper at the moment. So she’s up for grabs.

Ok, Where to start….the bed configuration….. The middle section can be removed or part removed. If you remove one section, it gives you just enough space to use a camping toilet or get changed. This van is tiny but it’s amazing what you can actually do inside. The middle section is on hinges and lifts up, you then add the props, and you can sit more comfortably looking out the rear of the vehicle whilst your cooking your supper.

You can actually sleep 6’3 in the back. Just tilt the seats forward and you have additional bed length.

You could quite easily use Midge as a light work van, if you removed the mattress. So you she could have multiple uses.

The roof deck was put on as a joke but actually works really well. However, you may want to consider removing it and putting a roof box on instead, if you’re a couple going on a long journey. Just depends how much stuff you want to take.

The roof is lined with Hessian (I think that’s what it’s called) and has LED lights underneath. So the glow/twinkles are really lovely. This is powered by a little battery pack that tucks away in a little compartment.
For full asking price, she will come with a 100 watt portable solar panel, the portable power generator, a 10 litre water tank with tap and the double camping stove along with the handy camping gas gadget that allows you to use 3 canisters at once. So you replace them less often. Its great!.

Performance…. She’s a nippy little bugger and super economical. She also handles fabulously thanks to the bigger and wider alloys on her and takes corners like a car and cruises on motorways nicely.. (Carry’s in their original form are a white knuckle ride when it comes to speed and roundabouts…!!) She’s also very comfortable on speed bumps and London roads in general.

There are a few very minor scratches on the paintwork from her adventures but I’ll tell the buyer which paint I bought and you can easily pick up a small tin for touch ups.

There is a stereo in there but I have never made it work. The buttons are tiny and I gave up and we just used a bluetooth speaker.

All the mechanical work has been done by my garage (Barry’s – Glebe Road, Willesden) and I highly recommend you continue to use them if you live in London. They’re fantastic and know her well. They also did the initial welding that needed doing when I first bought her.

My parking situation is also about to change so I could do with a quick sell but please don’t be silly with offers.

TEST DRIVES: If you do not have proof of insurance, you will not be driving my vehicle illegally on the road. I will, however, happily drive you around OR we can go to my local supermarket and you can have a little spin. But you won’t get top through all the gears in there. Just so you know.

I built her myself and really wish I didn’t have to sell her but I really won’t get to any use out of her and she’s not big enough for my sister to use with my nieces.

Located in West London, W10.

There is no warranty given or implied. She’s ready to drive away.

Weekday afternoons and weekends are fine for viewings.

UPDATE: I have no idea where messages are going to. Sorry, I keep getting notifications but can’t see anything. Please feel free to DM me via my FB profile or WhatsApp 07846026690
