This Vantech JB470 was imported in 2016 by Manchester Campers. We purchased it in late 2017, and have since upgraded with no expense spared, and enjoyed it on many trips in all seasons.
It is only 4.7M x 1.9M, so similar size to a VW SWB T5. Easily parks in a standard supermarket space.
Mileage is only 41000 miles (66000Km), and has an MOT until late June 2026. Registered new in Japan in 1999.
Its a 2.5 turbo diesel (4d56) with 5 manual gears.
4WD is selectable, with 2wd High, 4WD High, and 4WD low with diff lock (basically a Shogun system).
All the external bodywork is in excellent condition, the hab is all a double skinned, insulated, fibreglass monocoque. It really is Tardis like inside!
Has 2 large double beds, and internal headroom is an amazing 6′ 5″ (approx 2m).
Very recently (In the last year or so) it has had refurbished powder coated alloys, new AT tyres, remote control rainproof Maxxair fan, completely new hot / cold water system with expensive 10L Surecal calorifier, shurflo pump etc. Oil and filter change in the last few 100Km. New ‘Jones’ uprated rear springs. New starter battery 2 weeks ago.
We had intended to keep the van for much longer, but unfortunately circumstances have changed so we need to let her go. It will be very much missed.
Everything listed works perfectly, with the exception of the cab aircon, which we have never bothered to get working.
Its a very comfortable, and cosy space, with an excellent Webasto diesel heater, rear music (DAB) system and Cello HD TV.
The wash/ toilet room, is about the same size as most conversions, and has a powerful shower. The toilet is removable.
Plenty of internal (9 off) / external (3 off) lockers, and an excellent Fiamma awning.
The bike rack ‘slots’ into the rear chassis, and we use it to carry 2 electric bikes.
The cab is pretty basic (1990s technology), with electric windows, radio, and rear camera display. Excellent visibility.
On the road, its not the quickest best handling vehicle out there, but is fine at 60mph on motorways.
MPG is between 20 to 25 mpg in real world conditions.
We are located in South Scotland, near Dumfries, about an hour from Carlisle.
Viewing available anytime, but happy to answer any detail questions or provide more pictures.
