Much loved off-grid Scandi Van needs a new home

Reluctant sale of our beautiful Scandi van for health reasons. Superbly insulated, she is a cosy, reliable home-from-home and we’re fortunate to have extensively explored Europe in her this year. She was previously hired out on Quirky Campers in 2020 under the name of “Nutmeg” but we kept her for personal use only.

The living area is pine-clad and fully insulated. The side windows have tinted privacy glass and the two portholes at the back are double glazed. The new top of the range Autoterm diesel heater is extremely efficient and is pre-programmable up to 7 days in advance, making the van usable all year round. The two large solar panels charge the leisure battery, making off-grid camping easy, even with a power-guzzling CPAP machine.

The full double bed is fixed with memory foam mattress and the seating can be converted to form a small bed for a young child or a place to lounge with your feet up.
The seat cushions and fabrics are neutral grey, the blinds all custom made to fit the 2 port holes, side windows and hatch between the living area and the cab. There is a removable pine table, lots of wall shelf storage, a fixed wall mirror, carbon monoxide/smoke detector and 2 roof vents. There is storage space under both bench seats.
The Thetford porta potti is currently stored in the garage, easily pulled through the hatch, but it could be stored under a seat if preferred. A pop up toilet/shower tent and a USB camping shower with pump are included in the sale. Plus external awning tent which needs some repair.

There are 6 ceiling spotlights, LED lights around the sleeping area and a handy outside light strip above the side sliding door. USB 12V phone charging points are next to the bed. 
The kitchen has been thoughtfully designed with quirky rope handles , solid beech worktop and loads of storage space along with a deep stainless steel butlers sink (with over-sink strainer basket and chopping board) copper pipe tap with water pump operated using a bakelite wall switch, 2x 10L water tanks and a Dometic 3 ring gas hob with glass lid. The Dometic 45L compressor fridge has a highly efficient freezer compartment. Manuals for all appliances are included.

The under-bed garage area is enormous, with lots of space for folding chairs, awnings, sports equipment etc. Alternatively, she is amazingly dog friendly, the hatch under the double bed houses a large cosy area perfect for 2 dogs to sleep. Even with the dog bed in use, there is still plenty boot storage.

It has a split charge, 180AH battery powered by 2 solar panels on the roof, 2 x USB sockets and a cigarette-lighter 12v socket. a new smart charger and a new 2000W power inverter with 2 x 230v plug sockets and a 12v USB socket. Mains hook up for campsites if preferred, including European adapter.

Since purchasing the van in early 2022, in addition to the upgrades to the vehicle itself, we have had the electrical system and gas pipework upgraded to meet industry standards by the Dub Hut (see thedubhut.co.uk) in Mar 2023. Thus the van comes with habitation, gas and 240v safety certificates. We also upgraded and integrated the diesel heater at this time. Paperwork for all the above is included.
