2015 MWB Crafter van CR35 TDI.
MWB Family Adventure Van
Completely rebuilt and refurbished engine at 112385 miles. When rebuilding the engine I replaced many parts along with with new Turbo and Clutch. Full list of components available when viewing the van. Since the rebuild in March 2025, 4,000miles have been done. The van is 6 speed with cruise control and has an entertainment console with radio and Bluetooth for playing your own music and hands free calls. The body work is of good condition overall. I added a reversing camera which is viewed through the entertainment console in the cab.
The conversion was completed over time by a number of professional businesses, before I made the kitchen area and cupboards. All receipts for the work and full service history, since I’ve had the van, are available to view. It was my own design with the aim of maximising the space to safely sleep a family of four or five and provide ample living space. Highlights include the crash-tested swivel seats, which open up the whole van. We kept the original seats in the front to provide three belted seats before installing two additional seats in the back. When the swivel seats are turned around, there is space for the dining table. Another highlight is the floating bed for children, which can be folded away during the day to open up the sofa and kitchen area. This was professionally made and bolted to the main frame of the van. For sleeping, both beds can be set up in seconds, comfortably sleeping four. Under the sofa bed, there is ample storage, along with the kitchen, wardrobe, and overhead cupboards. The wardrobe has space for holiday clothes and stores the portable toilet
Since owning the van, we’ve used solar power for the majority of the time, which adequately powers the USB points, fridge, water, and lights. A traditional 240V charging point is also available for use when in campsites with electricity, and a plug inside the van means you can run laptops, hairdryers, etc. The kitchen features a stainless steel sink with a working tap and plenty of space for pans, plates. I chose not to have a hob inside as I prefer to cook outdoors, so the van comes with a Cadac 2 Cook 2 Pro, which can be placed on the kitchen top or taken outside. This is an excellent burner and comes with the gas. An additional fold-out worktop increases the preparation space when cooking inside the van. The van comes with a drive away awning.
At the back is a Rhino ladder leading to Rhino roof racks fitted to the van to store surfboards out of the way. All windows have curtains and the van comes with insulated blinds for the front cab. The entire van was insulated and soundproofed before the plywood and carpeting were installed. The floor is made of easy-to-clean lino. As a day van, bikes and surfboards can all be stored at the back, and the sofa is easily removed if more space is needed to transport larger items. Alternatively, the furniture and kitchen could be removed to create a garage area underneath the floating bed.
