The van was fully converted over lockdown last year and has been used since. We are now moving abroad so no longer need the van.

We bought the can with the insulation and wood panelling done.
This left us the bed, sofa, kitchen and storage areas to design via CAD in order to maximise the space we had!
The bed is built has been built with storage, spreading out space and comfort in mind. Depending on the residents (or sometimes parking angle) it can be converted from double to king by sliding out some extra supporting slats and using the sofa cushions to extend the mattress. Around the sofa there is plenty of easily accessible storage space, whilst also cleverly tucking away the gas, electrics and water works.
Electrics wise – we’ve installed overhead LED lighting, 2x 240v plugs powered via an inverter and USB sockets for your gadgets – all hooked up to a relayed leisure battery to prevent accidentally running the engine battery down whilst you’re off grid.
The kitchen is plumbed with water and gas. The gas can be isolated easily for peace of mind and the water tank is pumped from the back to maximise kitchen storage space where it matters most!
Two skylights and side windows give plenty of natural light but can be shut off by curtains or blinds when some darkness and privacy is needed!
This isn’t a professional conversion but we think he quirkiness is all part of her charm and by no means impacts her adventure capabilities or comfort! She’s bought us a lot of joy and know she will continue to do so for her lucky next owner.
