Beautiful, newly converted off grid Euro 6 campervan

A beautiful, light and airy conversion using poplar, pine, birch ply and hardwood ply. Sustainable materials have been used where possible including bamboo worktops and Earthborne paints (Virtually VOC free). My wife and I travelled around Spain for 9 months with our then newborn baby in our self-converted campervan back in 2018. I am confident with this past vanlife experience of being able to provide you with a comfortable and practical campervan when out on the open road. This is my 4th conversion and with the help of my father who is a 40 year qualified electrician we have created a stunning, unique campervan guaranteed to get some admiring words off anyone who sees it.

The van is ULEZ compliant with the must have Euro 6 engine. More and more towns and cities across the UK and Europe will be under tighter restrictions for diesel vehicles in the next couple of years. This will also help with the re-sell value if you wish to sell it in the future. The person who bought my last conversion in 2021 actually sold it on this website for more than they bought it for after a trip to Europe!

The conversion

Windows – big window in the sliding door, small vented window to the rear and a massive skylight perfect for stargazing over the bed. The two windows in the side of the van were professionally fitted by van windows direct in Leeds.

Fully insulated with 25mm Celotex in the floor and ceiling and recycled plastic loft insulation on the side panels and in all cavities.
Full foil/polythene vapor barrier
Poplar wood, Pine, Birch ply, and Hardwood ply
Treated 25mm x 50mm timber battens on floor and sides
Floor is 12mm Hardwood Ply with laminate finish
Ceiling is custom cut 7mm Pine slats
Worktops are 21mm bamboo treated with Osmo oil
Paint is from Earthborne paints (Eco friendly and virtually VOC free)

Living space

Spacious L-shaped sofa for wonderful views out of the sliding door/window. Perfect for remote working/relaxing.
Warm LED strip light recessed underneath the shelf for reading/working which creates a great ambience in the evening.

Toilet – Simploo composting (dry) toilet with 12v extractor fan that leads into a carbon filter unit. Perfect for vanlife and has zero smells.

Kitchen

Thetford 922 Gas hob (12v ignition)
Dometic 2250 Extraction/intake fan (12v)
Campercool 12v 50L fridge/freezer
Stainless steel sink with pull out spray tap (which extends for an external shower)
Freshwater drinking tap from 10L tank (12v submersible pump)
58 Litre Fresh water tank (inside the van)
75 Litre custom waste water tank (under the van)

Hot water and heating is by a Truma Combi D4E which runs on diesel and electric. This is an amazing bit of kit which is perfect for off grid living. LPG filling points are decreasing across europe and diesel is a much more accessible source for staying off grid. There are four hot air outlets, 2 in the living space, one into the living area and one into the front cab.

There is a thermostatic shower valve at the rear under the bed which can be used for a warm, external shower al fresco and free! You can of course turn this into a private, enclosed shower with some simple engineering.

Front and rear exterior LED lighting (12v) – perfect for setting up camp in the dark!
2 x LED strip lights recessed in the slats which can be controlled individually
Reading bed light with USB’s (12v)

Please note due to this being a brand new conversion many of the appliances/batteries will have at least a two year warranty.
