1957 Eccles Caravan “Nymphette”
1950s Eccles Nymphette Caravan , Rare, Restored Classic Full of Charm and beauty, Mint colour,
This is a very special caravan. A genuine 1950s Eccles Nymphette, one of the rarest classic models still around. Originally bought by renovators in Gibraltar for Mediterranean holidays, it has now been fully restored with great care and respect for its original features.
Eccles helped introduce caravanning to the UK and were one of the most respected manufacturers of the 20th century. Their craftsmanship and innovation still stand out today, and this model is a beautiful example of their work.
This is a lifelong vehicle that can be renovated and passed down, used for many creative ideas such as staycations, events, pop ups etc. This isn’t a surface-level renovation. Every part of this Eccles has been lovingly brought back to life. From a full chassis rebuild to sympathetic updates like solar lighting and fresh upholstery, the caravan has been restored in a way that protects its unique character.

Interior and Practical Living
Sleeps 3 people comfortably with two sleeping areas that convert easily for daytime use. High ceilings allow you to stand comfortably. The space feels light, calm, and surprisingly roomy for its size.
It tows easily, fits in a standard garage, and is towable by most vehicles. Whether you’re heading off-grid or just looking for something with personality, this caravan is ready to go.
Why I’m Selling
I’ve truly loved owning this caravan. It always turns heads and sparks conversations. But due to recent family commitments, I simply don’t have the time to use it though it was purchased recently from the renovators under a year ago. It deserves to be used regularly – I’m hoping it finds a new home with someone who will appreciate the thought, time, and history it holds.
Practicality
I’ve owned a VW camper before, and while beautiful, the constant engine issues and upkeep were exhausting. This Eccles offers a simpler, more peaceful kind of adventure. With no motor to maintain, the upkeep is minimal. It’s solid, simple, and just works.
Pricing and Next Steps
The price reflects the caravan’s rarity, pristine condition, and the quality of the restoration. Caravans in much rougher shape are often listed for more. This is a great opportunity to own something that’s both beautiful and built to last, a true home on wheels.
Serious enquiries only. Happy to answer questions or arrange viewings. If you’re someone who loves originality, quality, and character, this caravan could be exactly what you’ve been waiting for.
