Selling my beloved ‘Norma’ as we need a larger van for an upcoming adventure. She is an absolute delight to drive, brilliant for anyone looking to have an everyday car which also acts as a camper. Excellent MPG combined with the smaller size makes it easy to use as an everyday van, or a dedicated camper. This was our first van build, and we have put a lot of love and hard work into this van. Little details like the angling of the book shelf to make it easier to get in and out of the side of the van, and positioning the side window so you can sit in bed with a cup of tea in rainy weather and still enjoy a view without feeling your privacy has been invaded, are what make Norma special.
Fully insulated, carpeted interior with cladding on doors. 1 side window on drivers side fitted professionally, roof rotary fan also fitted professionally which provides ventilation (can be opened and closed from inside the van). Ceiling is made of wood cladding, with two integrated LED lights. Floor is made of ply wood and self-adhesive floor tiles. Bed is L-shaped, with the bottom end fixed (the longer side extends into a double sized bed) and acting as a storage unit with a liftable lid, great for storing bedding and clothing. This is where the leisure battery is situated which powers the LED lights, the sink tap, the 2x 5v USB charger points, and the 12v socket. The battery is charged using a charger connected to the car battery (from the inside) which also monitors the health of the battery and a digital display allows you to check battery charge. The end of the bed also features an angled bookshelf, a surface for placing cups of coffee or other items, with additional storage beneath for footwear. The longer section of the bed also features 3 separate sections for under-bed storage. Kitchen unit is split into two cupboards – one with two fixed shelves for a portable stove and food/pots/pans, and the other for storing water/waste water. Cold water pump is electric and connected to a 25L water container with a smaller bottle used for waste water.
Can be a 1 or 2 berth van, as seating pulls out into double bed with wooden slats.
