Vehicle Description

Vauxhall Movano F3500 CDT1150 (150BHP) – Off (or on) Grid Campervan

Hello and welcome to my advert.

It’s triple insulated including a layer of sound insulation sheets of Kingspan and thermal foil, then and finished with spruce cladding. It’s able to perform off-grid in the wilds or via hook-up on a campsite depending on your preference (detailed spec listed below). There’s a full-size double Ikea mattress on the bed (which hasn’t been altered). The bed is fixed across (if you prefer), but there’s sneaky trick which allows the bed to be downsized and the mattress rolled up via strong bungees if you want more floor space and extra seating (see pics).

Check out the L-shaped kitchen set up, with solid beech worktops (wood-stained then treated with 5 coats of waterproofing oil) and there’s plenty of storage including a slide out cupboard round the kitchen. There’s a cold water tap locked to a 25-litre water tank, but room to double up on the water capacity. The fridge is hidden in one of the cupboards and is naturally a good quality compressor fridge — Vitrifigo to be exact. Tried and tested, it can be left on day and night and has a proper freezer compartment and there’s no issues with energy consumption. There’s a strong overhead shelf perfect for storage around the kitchen and the walls are painted with kitchen-type paint and then sprayed with vinyl enabling a wet cloth wipe down. Matching solid beech seat surfaces and a flexible beech table which can be lowered/twisted to be used when sitting in different seats. Above the kitchen you’ll find a skylight which combines with the small tinted side window to provide a fresh air flow when cooking.

There’s a garage section accessed via the back doors with fixing points for bikes etc and access to some of your electrical gadgets – breaker box, MPPT solar control panel and battery charger – a wall keeps this area divided from the front which is useful if you want to keep your clutter out of sight.

The base van is awesome being the 150bhp variant so it has lots of torque and speed which is perfect for longer motorway journeys or hilly routes — it averages about 35mpg, less around town, but more on longer journeys. The first owner was ADT, followed by a private owner in Burnley who looked after it. It has an MOT until 24 Feb 2022 and had a big service in February this year for £1400 which changed all fluids and filters and anything else that it needed p plus and all four tyres are relatively new. The mileage is around 144k.

The van has an excellent alarm system and immobiliser and deadlocks on every door for every security. The van is a great size at medium wheel base (L2/H2) and the bodywork is in good condition however there are three dents to mention, one a deep scrape under the sliding door that’s not easily noticed, a fainter scrape to the right of the sliding side door and lastly an indent at the top the back doors. There are Rhino roof bars fitted for surfboards and stuff and reflective safety stripes on the backdoors, which do have the uses/or could be removed by the new keeper if preferred. The camper runs very well indeed and there are no warning lights on the dash / the van has been used daily for the last two months and there are no known problems.
