We are selling our beloved VW Crafter 2.0L TDI BMT 2016 Camper Van, also known as “Tom Crafter”. Fitted with BlueMotion Technology (BMT) (Start/Stop Engine) and a Euro 6 engine; he’s perfect for trips around the UK and all over Europe (Even goes through the ULEZ zone in London!). We are selling him as some things have changed in our life as I am sure they have for everyone in the current times and he needs a new home!

We have self converted Tom and have done all the work ourselves (don’t worry, we have experience!), so all the hard parts are done for you. We have tried our best to describe it as much as possible and try and pre-empt any questions!

Classification: Tom has recently been re-classified as “Van with Side Windows” by the DVLA, but was refused Motor caravan based on external appearance only. We have evidence of this.

Exterior
– 3 fully tinted edge to edge glass windows (2 on both rear panels, 1 on the sliding door)
– MaxxAir Fan Deluxe roof vent fitted near the front of the van, complete with remote control, in/out air ventilator, automatic thermostat control and motorised rain hood. Perfect for cooking with.
– Custom lettering “Tom” has been added above the Crafter badge (this can be easily removed)
– Unique Crafter 270 Degree back doors with magnets, perfect if you’re camping on a windy cliff side and want that view!

Interior Cab
– Plenty of storage around the cab
– Fitted and painted custom shelf above cab, still leaves plenty roof height
– Original VW Entertainment System with Sat Nav (No SD Card), Bluetooth Calls and Music Playback, CD player, AUX input, USB input for charge and playback, FM/MW/LW/AM Radio with with up to 10 presets.
– 12v 10a socket below central dash (wired to operate even when engine is off)
– 12v 10a hidden socket in pull out drawer with cup and loose change holder.

– All kitchen drawers and cupboards come with locks to help secure the doors when driving
– 50 Litre efficient low power electric Dometic Fridge/Freezer
– Large Dometic sink with separate tap, hooked up to a 10L/min submersible water pump
– 25L waste water tank fitted under sink, removable and easy to dispose of waste water
– 2 burner Dometic gas cooker (1 slow burner, 1 rapid burner) with glass splashback top.
– Swappable 3 x 25 litre fresh water tanks (75 litre total). 1 stored under sink, 2 stored in garage area. Easy to carry and take to a refill station rather than having to take the whole van!
– Wall mounted 4G 300mbps Router and aerial fitted. We used this on the road every day whilst working and it performed really well no matter where we were. Unlocked so accepts any SIM card.
– Blackout curtain divider between the living and sleeping space, helps block out the light.
– Blackout insulating curtains fitted to every window, on tracks and some with tiebacks.
– Custom control panel with 3 zone light switches, 2x USB sockets and waterproof LED water pump switch
– Carbon monoxide alarm (7 year life), fresh one fitted 6 months ago
– Digital thermostat for heater recently installed
– Holder for MaxxAir fan remote
– Gaslow refillable 11Kg LPG gas tank, fitted with level indicator, auto shut off and externally fitted refill point behind passengers door, easy to fill up at AutoGas stations across UK and Europe.
– The bed is fitted with a headboard, which is also useful to have hooks fitted to the back door for drying your jackets!
– The entire van is roof to floor is lined with Low-E insulation, its space saving “advanced tech” insulation has worked really well in keeping us warm without a heater. It has a built in vapour barrier and also sound deeding properties for road noise reduction on the floor.
– 2 Seats and a removable table and table leg. One seat stores the toliet, the other is hollow so can be used as handy general storage
– The floor has been brought to half the door length, so were were able to create a nice entry way and shoe storage!
– Thetford PortaPotti Toilet with 15L tank, which is only a few months old and is cleverly fitted under one of the seats.
– 3 level wardrobe with soft boxes, excellent for storing clothes.
– Efficient LED Strip lighting throughout the van, split into 3 switchable zones at the control panel
– Bed platform is big enough to fit a full double bed or a queen size! (Incase you missed it, we’ve included the bed for free!)

Garage area
– Large garage area can be used to store bikes, canoes, tools, boxes, bags and anything else really! Its huge!
– Electrics area well ventilated
– The 2 additional 25 litre water tanks are stored in here and has plenty more room for more water tanks.
– Push button lighting installed and LED light strip (but not yet wired)
– Bed beams down the middle and slim so doesn’t take up much room

Electrics

– 290ah AGM battery (recently replaced and still under warranty at 4 months old)
– 8 way fuse box
– Victron Energy 500w Power Inverter with USB (Pure Sine Wave, perfect for sensitive electronics), optional remote app control can be easily fitted
– 2x 13a UK plugs with high-amp USB chargers (2x), located in the living area next to the seat/table
– Bluetooth battery monitor (comes with Free App for android and iPhone) with a 10m range
– CTEK D250se smart battery charger (This is the real beauty behind this system) Handles the solar, split charge and power management all in one compact box. Fitted with overheat cut off and wired straight to the starter battery to help also keep that topped up when the vehicle is stationery for a long period of time.
– Xplorer 200w Monocrystalline solar panel mounted to the roof

Quick Note:
Most of the electrics and appliances throughout the van have been recently replaced and are all less than 8 months old so all are still under warranty and most come with original manuals and paperwork.
