2004 Mercedes Sprinter 314 MWB 2.3-litre LPG/petrol

The soft close drawers use our ‘auto lock’ system which means when you start the camper all the draws automatically lock, no mess and no noisy journeys.
There are 7 drawers in total to store everything from cutlery to large pans, there is a handmade pull out pantry for herbs and spices and a pull out bin under the sink. Next to the bin are the utility switches for the water system, drawers and a LPG leak detector.
The countertop has a lightweight backsplash along with usb and 240v sockets for charging and running cooking aids such as food processors and smoothie machines.
The fridge has a good amount of storage with a freezer compartment for ice and the odd frozen item.
Ventilation for cooking is created by the Maxxair maxxfan which also maintains a cool temperature in the living space.
Sofa/dining area
The large L shaped sofa offers comfortable seating for 3 and sleeping for 1. Under the sofa is a large storage area and a dining table that uses the lagun table leg which is easy to set up and movable.
The sofa also hides the composting toilet which has been fitted with a 12v ventilation system.
The cushions are made from a durable fire resistant fabric and a high density foam which is robust but also super comfortable.
There are 3 overhead cabinets with shelves and bungees which can be used for clothes or food.
2 positional heater vents keep the area nice and warm during winter and the side door step has a light sensor when moving around at night.
Light switch for the awning light and both the kitchen and bed ceiling lights.
Bed
The bed is positioned across the back of the camper to maximise space in the kitchen and living area. The recessed headboard has a dimmable light which creates a cosy glow at bedtime, this along with the foot recess creates extra length in this area.
USB point and light switch for the kitchen and bed ceiling lights alongside the rear door light. These switches have two way switching so you can switch on and off the kitchen lights without having to get out of bed. There is also a potential reading light.
Storage pouch for bedtime essentials and a place to put charging devices.
Three overhead storage cupboards for clothes also house the music system, wifi and additional usb points.
Two porthole windows frame the back of the bed area, they include hand made covers for privacy.
A large fully opening skylight offers good ventilation in the bed area along with star gazing at nighttime, there is a handy bug net and blind integrated into the unit.
During the day the bed doubles up as a great chill out space to read a book or watch the world go by from the side or rear doors.

Electrics
This camper has full off grid capabilities, the main source of power is from a high efficiency german cell 200w solar panel mounted on the roof.
A 255ah agm battery bank stores all the power allowing you to power the fridge, heater, fans and devices through the evening and on cloudy days.
As the camper is intended for all year round use it is fitted with a split charger system for additional charging when driving and a campsite hook up for smart changing when on site. The power source can be switched easily so high powered 240v devices can be used in the camper when on hook up.
The system is managed by Victron products which have an app based system so you can see your power input, usage and battery level on your smartphone.
The design and location of lights, switches, usb/240v sockets and tech has been done with ease of use and flexibility in mind.
Water and Gas
The camper has two internal fresh water tanks with a combined capacity of 160 litre, depending on usage this will allow you to travel for up to a week or longer before needing to fill up.
A 3-stage filter system (sediment, carbon, chlorine) allows for great flexibility when finding water sources.
The Truma combi boiler has a 10 litre tank which heats enough water for washing up and showering, there are options for 40 and 60 degrees along with a boost mode.
The 30 litre internal gas tank fuels the Truma combi boiler, oven and 2 burner hob. It costs around £20 to fill and will last for months at a time.
Final notes
The van started its life as a fed ex post vehicle for Heathrow airport, it was then owned by a small veg box delivery business before we took ownership. The miles it has done have been light and throughout it has been well looked after. When we purchased the vehicle in 2019 it was fully stripped down, cleaned and reconditioned along with a fresh new paint job. This summer it was pulled back into the workshop and again stripped down, cleaned and repainted, larger semi off road wheels were fitted and the conversion was also refurbished and renewed with a new roof light and solar panel ready for our last adventure. Since then the camper completed a very successful trip to Europe where it ran beautifully in the day and enjoyed many warm evenings listening to the crickets.
This is a ‘one of a kind camper’ that will offer so much to its new owner. I love that this camper runs on a clean and cheap fuel and with its off grid set up (including a composting toilet) means that adventures can be affordable and sustainable. Our recent trips have included skiing in scotland, surfing in cornwall and paddle boarding/biking in europe; and yes it is possible to carry all these toys together on a single trip 😀
This campervan will be sold with our Live Slow handover pack which includes:
6 month conversion warranty*
6 month health check
Conversion e-handbook
20gb internet data pack
Weighbridge certificate
*Covers conversion elements only under normal use, does not cover the base vehicle. Conversion parts covered by individual manufacturer’s warranties where applicable.
This campervan can be viewed at our workshop near Thirsk, North Yorkshire
