Campervans for Sale Our Thoughtfully Converted Ford Transit Custom – Built for Adventure & Everyday Living
Ford Transit Custom
Selling our beloved van as we are now a family of 4 and we don’t fit in anymore.
We bought it in November 2021 and we have been converting it into a campervan and looking after it since.
The conversion was done with off grid in mind, there’s a solar panel that powers an alternative battery, a diesel heater, a gas kitchen, a fridge and lots of storage space. The tap runs cold water only, and there’s a little shower hose that can be used outside to rinse gear. It is great for 2 people and there’s a baby/ toddler bed as well.
Since we own it we have replaced the brakes, turbo, whole engine, hand break, battery and several other parts between a trusted local garage and a Ford garage in Morecambe.
It now has roughly 153000 miles on, it needs someone else to look after it and love it as much as we did.
For details on the conversion or the work done to it, don’t hesitate to ask or come and look at it.
The conversion has been designed with practical day-to-day use and outdoor adventures in mind, making efficient use of the available space.
The living area features a seating setup that converts into a double bed, with generous storage both underneath and overhead. A detachable table can be added for eating or working inside. Above the main bed is a hammock-style sleeping area, suitable for a baby or toddler.
The kitchen area includes a 2-hob gas stove, sink with cold water, and a fridge box, providing everything needed for cooking on the road. A cold-water outdoor shower allows for rinsing off gear, boots, or sandy feet after activities.
Power is supplied by a leisure battery system supported by roof-mounted solar panels, enabling off-grid stays. A diesel heater provides reliable warmth for year-round travel, complemented by a roof ventilation fan for airflow and condensation control. A standout feature is the large under-bed storage area, specifically designed to accommodate ski equipment, climbing gear, and bulky items, with enough space to fit two climbing crash pads beneath the bed.
1 double bed with foam mattress and one toddler bed hammock style.
