Wensley is currently listed as a rental campervan with Quirky Campers and has been professionally created and rented via Quirky Campers for 5 years. We are the founders of Contour Campervan Furniture and are selling Wensley personally after owning him since 2021. He is one of the original prototype vehicles for our innovative and stylish campervan furniture range, and has been maintained both inside and outside to the highest standard throughout our years of owning him. Wensley has only one previous owner, and he was a wide-load escort vehicle, with an easy life. We purchased him from a reputable dealership. The bodywork is almost impeccable, especially considering the age of the van. As a 2006 van, Wensley is the oldest vehicle in our fleet and he has always been our most reliable van with little maintenance required. He has never broken down, has done numerous short and longer term rentals and has the best bodywork of all of our vehicles. We chose Wensley, due to his cheerful yellow colour, double captain seats, past vehicle history and bodywork. We also think he strikes the best balance between having enough space while being small enough to use as an everyday car. Its low roof means you pay less on ferries and can easily nip about town and park anywhere inconspicuously. Our rental and furniture customers cannot believe that he is a SWB van when they are inside and always ask us to clarify this, due to the spacious and compact conversion which creates a light and airy living space.

Interior Description Below:

Wake up in the morning and enjoy panoramic views from the comfort of your own double bed. The kitchen has been cleverly designed and placed towards the rear of the camper, allowing you to have the option of cooking inside or out. Come the evening, simply pull up at a remote location of your choice, fire up that stove and experience alfresco dining like never before.

Get ready to explore in your home away from home, with the knowledge that we have thought of all the little details, from custom pockets, curtains, hooks and warm dimmable lighting to heaps of storage and easy access water for refills on the road.

There is a tow hitch, high quality roof bars and a roof box, giving you the opportunity to pack climbing gear and/or a kayak.

Description of Storage:. In addition to storage in the living area, Wensley also has a 250L roof box which provides ample space for camping gear, as well as any equipment needed for your outdoor pursuits!

Description of Beds:. Wensley sleeps two adults in a luxurious double bed. It is custom made using super comfy 10cm thick foam, to ensure that you have a good night’s sleep wherever you end up! All bedding can be stored hassle-free and out of the way in the compact side unit. Bring a double fitted sheet to hold the cushions together unless you have booked bedding. The bed can also be used as an ample single bed if you take the back sofa cushions off. Bed Size: 180x120cm. Two opening side windows provide ventilation on hot nights.

Description of Seating: There are two belted seats in the front. In the back you have a comfy sofa with ample room for lounging, you can even swivel the passenger seat round to make room for four adults. Perfect for escaping the rain and getting the kettle on!

Description of Electrical Setup: Wensley has four USB charging points, and with a split charge system and solar panel you’ll never be short of power. When you’ve had enough of off-grid living, treat yourself to some creature comforts using the 240V hookup at a campsite, so you can plug in a laptop or heater! If you don’t want to use a laptop, heater or hairdryer, there is no need to hookup Wensley to 240V at the campsite, as his battery is more than powerful enough to run the fridge, USB’s and lighting for many days.

Cooking Equipment: ** Please Note THE HOB IN Wensley IS NOW A Portable Cadac HOB (not the hob in the pictures)** Wensley has a great compressor fridge, underneath the sofa-bed, which can run for many days with his powerful off-grid electrical system. The sink and under counter storage can be accessed from both inside and outside the van, which makes cooking easy whatever the weather. From the back of the van, the clever drop down bumper bar makes for enjoyable alfresco dining and cooking (it’s the perfect spot to the pop Wensley’s new portable hob). The kitchen has a two burner 2 Cook 2 Pro Deluxe QR portable cooking stove made by Cadac which comes with grill and hot plate. This hob can be used on the kitchen countertop or outside when the weather is nice! The kitchen is equipped with cooking equipment for whipping up a feast, including: frying pan | saucepan | kettle | coffee percolator | trivets and cutlery and dinnerware for two. There is also a grater | peeler | corkscrew | bottle/can opener as well as a dustpan and brush.

The clever kitchen design allows you to cook both inside and outside the van, so that you can enjoy those summer evenings and gather friends outside while cooking. The pull out pantry offers plenty of room for storing all of your kitchen essentials, with three drawers perfectly proportioned to fit wine bottles, cereal boxes and Kilner jars, with a shallow top drawer for bits and bobs. These all secure with upgraded strong magnets at the back of the doors for easy use. The sliding doors under the hob reveal yet another compartment for keeping your cookware in, that can be accessed from both inside and outside the van.

Water and Sanitation: This camper packs in an impressive 16L freshwater capacity into the compact space, allowing you to easily go off-grid for a few days. Water is supplied to the tap and sink via a pump. The removable water tanks are located in the services cupboard at the back of the van for easy access & refills on the road. There is a solar shower that can be used outside (you use a hook to hang it). This can either be heated by the sun or you can use the kettle to make a hot shower whenever you need! There is a portable toilet that fits under the sofa-bed that can be added as an extra.

Audio Equipment: We recommend bringing a portable speaker for use both in the cab and living area of the van, although Wensley does have a cd player/radio in the cab as well as a radio adapter to play music from your phone through the radio. You can easily charge your portable speaker via the many USB ports (including one in the cab).

Type of Heating: Heat up your trip with the optional electric fan-heater. The heater can only be used when connected to a 240V mains hook-up.

Extra Information: Wensley has been built to be your perfect adventure companion! He is compact and easy to drive, but also packs a punch with his well thought through eco interior. Only the most sustainable Cumbrian Cosywool insulation, FSC certified plywood and low VOC products have been used throughout so you can camp out with a clear conscience. He’s low-profile, gets great mileage, is easy to drive down narrow country lanes and fits in a normal parking space, which gives you one less thing to worry about when on the road. With 5 windows he has an open and airy living space giving you great views in every direction (and making turning around and parking easy), and his innovative top and front opening sofa-bed makes organisation a doddle.

Vehicle Information:
Full and comprehensive service history available from 2020 when we bought the vehicle. We have gone above and beyond maintaining this vehicle and no expense has been spared to ensure it is reliable and in very good condition. This includes a new clutch last year, new alternator last year, rear brakes etc.

Our mechanic has again commented on the great condition of the van when doing the MOT in January and says it is much better than a lot of the newer vehicles he works on. He particularly highlighted the good condition of the underside of the vehicle and the bodywork.

Engine runs well, starts from cold every time.

Interior Information:
Wensley has been regularly repainted, had furniture parts replaced and has had upgrades throughout his life with us. His current Ranger Kitchen now features a Formica Birch Ply worktop for extra durability and water resistance.

All foam has recently been replaced with a new set of 10cm thick premium Reflex Foam cushions for a comfortable nights sleep.
