Ford Transit 460 Trend Minibus
PROJECT – A stripped minibus with some of the work already completed and an enormous collection of the essential items included.
What a wonderful opportunity for a fantastic Autumn and Winter project ready for touring next spring. This is a lovely very low mileage Ford Transit 460 Trend minibus fitted with the economical and dependable 2,200cc (125ps) diesel engine and 6 speed manual gearbox. The tachograph and speed limiter from it’s minibus days were professionally removed. Mechanically she’s in excellent condition having recently had a full service including two new vehicle batteries and some new tyres. She sailed through the MOT in July and drives beautifully. I have owned the vehicle since 2021 with the intention of fully converting it into a bespoke campervan.
I started converting the minibus and have already removed the rear seats, added underfloor PIR insulation and a full plywood floor. There is insulation throughout the body sides and I have installed a Heki rooflight. The van also has a solar panel fitted with wiring installed to the passenger compartment. As work progressed I ordered a huge collection of items required to complete the conversion and these are included with the sale. The full list is exhaustive (see below) and all of the items were purchased new and have not been used. Regrettably a combination of deteriorating health and a decision to sell our property and move means I will be unable to complete the conversion. I have decided the van needs to be sold on to somebody who is fit and able to complete the work and create a fabulous bespoke vehicle. Looking at the market, completed vehicles of this type with such low mileage normally sell for between £35-45k so this is a huge opportunity, especially considering the high cost of the conversion equipment which comes with the van.

Please note – because this vehicle currently has a plated weight above 3.5t and is still classed as a minibus, the vehicle can legally only be driven by somebody who has class D1 entitlement on their driving license. If you do not possess D1 entitlement I will be unable to allow you to test drive the vehicle for insurance purposes.

So far the floor has been Insulated with PIR and fully sealed with silver tape. The walls are stuffed with wool insulation and a full Plywood floor has been fitted. The Heki rooflight has been fitted and a 175w solar panel has been fitted to the roof. Otherwise the van is a blank canvas.
Originally a fixed double bed was planned but as this is an uncompleted conversion this can be changed by the new owner.
