Vehicle Description

REDUCED PRICE FOR QUICK SALE. PRICE NEGOTIABLE.

Selling my beloved campervan, Rita. She has reliably taken me all over Southern Europe and the UK this past year. She’s an old girl but runs well and has had no expense spared on maintenance. She is fully equipped for wild camping as well as for camp sites. I’m selling as I am going abroad. She runs really well and if looked after properly will last many more years yet. Inside I’ve repainted her in a beach blue and put a lot of love into her. She’s a dream to sleep in, very cosy and comfortable. See below for details:

Camper features:

Specs:
Renault Master 2.5 dCi 120, diesel

– 2x smoke alarms
– 2x CO2 alarms
– 1x gas alarm
– Sturdy external locks on side door and back door for extra protection

Convenience:
– 5Kw diesel heater

– Full size 4-hob cooker
– Full size sink with 12v electric tap and wooden sink cover
– 15L grey water tank
– 60L water tanks split between 3 tanks for ease when filling up

– 2x solar panels 270W total
– 2x 100Ah leisure batteries
– Smart split charger (charges leisure batteries when engine is running)
– Electrics system recently rewired and modernised this year for extra safety and convenience. The electrics cupboard also now has a shelving unit for extra storage (see photos)
– 240v hook-up with all cables
– massive awning
– rear door ladder and bike rack (fits 2 bikes)
– pull-out table
– internal thermal silver screens for front cabin windows
– NEW sky light with fan which blows and sucks air AND has LED lights, perfect for extra light when cooking
– Fletner vent on roof (prevents condensation in van)
– LED lighting in ceiling with NEW dimmer switch
– Multiple USB and cigarette lighter plugs
– Sideways queen-size bed, comfortable foam mattress
– black-out curtains around bed for extra privacy and for a great night’s sleep!
– LOTS of storage space in cupboards, drawers and under the bed too. Extra storage at the back too, in the “garage”.

Maintenance and performance:
– Drives and runs with no issues
– Starts every time
– Does not smoke
– Hardly any rust, quite unusual for a van that age kept by the sea
– Does not consume excessive oil or coolant
– Passed MOT (October 2022) with only two minor advisories
– NEW tyres (2022) and all wheels aligned (Feb 2023)
– New front drive shafts (2022)
– Recently installed NEW rear calipers for hand brake (2023)
– Recently replaced OSF wheel bearings and rear brake pads
– Spare wheel under rear chassis
– NEW windscreen (bought the van with two small chips in windscreen, one of which got much bigger, so replaced it entirely, and also had surface rust removed around screen aperture)
– Oil and filter changed (Jan 2023)
– NEW auxiliary belt tensioner, guide & pulley (July 2023)
– ABS Power steering
– Driver’s airbag
– Electric windows
– Lots of windows in the main body of the van so it is really light & airy
– Foam padding for windows for extra warmth and privacy, which can be taken out for extra light
– Reversing camera
– Bluetooth touch screen entertainment system

Van negatives:
– 235,000 miles, however, runs well and diesel engines last for ages
– Has some bodywork dents and scratches, but nothing major and in my opinion, adds to safety as it makes it look like inviting to burglars
– Glow plug gone – I bought it like this and it has never caused an issue. Previous owner travelled in winter in mountainous areas with no issues. I spent this winter driving in snowy conditions and never had any issues. I have been told glow plugs can be problematic to replace so have been advised to leave it as is.
– No inverter, but I can supply a large external battery at a minor extra cost. This is what I have used for 240v (laptop charging). Lasts approx. 10 days.
– Only one key works. Second key has stopped working but will come with the van. I believe it can be fixed or replaced.
– AC system has a leak, so gas runs out quicker than normal. I have been told this can be fixed. It hasn’t bothered me, so I have left it.
– Locking system on backdoor needs some attention. Currently only works with the key. It also has a sturdy external lock (as mentioned above), so it’s safe & useable. The garage I use have estimated cost at approx. £200-250 to fix it.

I welcome viewings and am happy to take for test drives and answer any questions.

Conversion Description

I bought this already converted. I have made numerous improvements to the van since I’ve had it:
– Electrics rewired and made safe and practical.
– New jets on the hobs for better flame control.
– I painted the cupboards beach blue as they were dark grey and it made it dark inside. It is now very bright, fun, heart-lifting and cosy! There’s lots of colour, lots of storage, a great space with an already-made bed, which I personally love. There is foam in the window crevices for extra insulation, privacy, darkness and safety. These can be removed and used as cushions if you set up the awning and have it be an external livingroom, for example. It’s got the largest sink ever, which seemed too much at first but I am very grateful it is this size. It’s come in very useful, is easy to use and I built a wooden cover for the sink so when not in use, it can be used as a workspace.
The roof is high enough to almost extend your arms up, so is fine to stand and move around in if you’re average height.

Beds Description

170cm long, 125cm wide.
Very comfortable foam mattress in washable, zipped covering. I sleep widthways and it’s fine for me. I shared it with someone taller than me for 3 months and we were fine but had to sleep diagonally. I bought it from a 6ft2 basketball player, who velcroed an extension to the mattress on the extendable table and slept on it horizontally. I can show any interested buyers when they come and see.
Though the mattress is foam it’s on wooden slats and is really comfortable! The bed has black-out curtains on both sides and so it creates more privacy within the van and also a very good night’s sleep as it’s very dark.
Plenty of storage space underneath the bed slats.
