Conversion Description

Designed for long-term, fuel-efficient off-grid living, you can easily live in this van for months at a time or as I did for a full year winter included.

There are ample overhead cabinets, as well as a large cupboard and a good amount of storage beneath the bed frame. We’ve stored logs, wetsuits, kayaks, mountain bikes and SUP’s with ease. The toilet fits snugly beneath the bed, and overall the van hosts a surprising amount of space. She has room for 2/3 iSUPs or 2 mountain bikes.

The kitchen area is versatile, with a sink, which is supplied by foot pump from a 20L freshwater container and draining to a 20L greywater container. There is space for a good-sized coolbox. The 2-burner stovetop uses liquid fuel (meths).

The van has been fully insulated all round using a combination of rigid board and wool insulation. There are blackouts for each window. On cold nights a USB heater provides ample heat and a USB fan during the summer months keeps the van cool and ventilated.

The double passenger seat swivels to increase internal living space, comfortably creating a workspace.

I am reluctantly selling due to a change in living circumstance and had plans for further additions. As such I will include a ceiling vent and if you are interested a small custom made wood burner and matching green tiling with a hearthstone- all of which I sadly did not get round to installing myself.

The van has 1 EFB HLB700 leisure battery, and the battery has been sized to comfortably power laptop charging, LED lighting, 12v pumps, USB fans, and a USB heater for warmth. The leisure battery is charged by the van engine’s battery, so one good long drive each week is enough to charge the leisure battery and to power you for fully off-grid living. Mains electricity hook-up, plus 2 x 240v sockets and 5metre cable so you can enjoy everyday mains electricity.

The key points are:
1 EFB HLB700 leisure battery
2x 240v 3-pin sockets
4x 12v USB sockets
2x LED lights

For safety, there is a fire extinguisher located by the door, as well as a fire blanket, a safety latch on the back doors and a steering wheel lock included. A supply of β€˜Ocean Green’ exterior paint will be included with the sale, plus a 5-metre 24v mains hook-up cable, and a Thetford PortaPotti and insulated window blackouts are included.

I am keen for a quick sale so will be willing to negotiate on price.

Beds Description

The double bed is made by sliding the single bed frame out from underneath to form a double. The mattress has 4-inch deep memory foam, and with a full duvet the bed is extremely cosy. I slept in it through a harsh Yorkshire Dales winter and was very comfortable
