Ford Transit L2 H3
2.2 TDCi 330 Panel Van 5dr Diesel Manual FWD L3 H3 Euro 5 (125 ps)
Very reliable Ford Transit owned for 2.5 years, with only one commercial owner prior. As the previous owner was a large commercial company, the van was well taken care of with regular servicing and I have kept up with everything mechanically since. It’s a real shame to be saying goodbye to this vehicle but I’m moving overseas so it needs to find a new owner. I absolutely would not be selling it otherwise, not only has it been great to drive, the camping setup has been extremely comfortable and easy.
The van has been regularly serviced, with full service history available. The MOT was done in April 2024 and in the service just after the front disc brakes and brake pads replaced. The next MOT is due May 2025. In terms of the bodywork, there were some small dents along the top of the body that I bought the van with, but you can see from the pictures that this is very minimal and not obvious when you first look at the van. There were also some very small rust dots on the body but these have not gotten any bigger since I have owned the van and have been regularly treated.

The main thing you’ll notice when stepping into this van is how spacious it feels. The high roof means you have so much room around you so it feels really open. When doing the conversion I wanted to prioritise quality sleep, stealthiness for wild camping, and ease when cooking. I put a lot of focus on making sure the van is blackout to block light coming in or out, have a proper full mattress, and also the kitchen counter can be extended so it runs all the way to the bed and has plenty of storage. When you’re inside you really do feel like you’re in a cosy cocoon and forget the outside world exists. I also put a lot of effort into giving it a nice finish so it can feel polished and tidy. Feel free to message if you’d like to take a look in person!
It’s a panel van (L2H3 shape) and has been converted to a campervan with sleeping, seating, dining and kitchenette areas. It is fully insulated with thermal board and mineral wool meaning it’s typically able to stay around 10 degrees warmer inside the van when you’re trying to keep the heat in. For added security I have a steering wheel lock, a bolt lock on the back doors, and I have upgraded the drivers door lock to a Hykee system which is much more secure. It is set up with two leisure batteries which charge as you drive with a 12V power supply attached for running lighting, the fridge and USB charging devices. The fixed bed easily extends over the seating area to provide a full king sized bed with a mattress topper integrated too. Lots of storage options, including kitchenette unit, overhead cupboards, bulkhead cupboard, side cupboards by bed, under seat storage, and large secure underbed storage. There are also secure fixings in the ceiling if you’d like to strap something (a surfboard for example) to the ceiling. There is a window that opens in the sliding door with an added dark tint for privacy. This, along with the skylight, provides light and airflow. It’s an ideal campervan, fully kitted out and ready to hit the road. It will come with all the camping equipment detailed below.

For the bed system, the mattress if a full size king mattress with a 5cm mattress topper on top so is very comfortable. It has been cut horizontally about two thirds of the way down the mattress. The larger portion is fixed in the van and the cut-out piece is stored under the bed in the storage. It was designed to maximise space so that the cut-out piece fits perfectly underneath as the width of the mattress is the same length as the fixed portion of the mattress. To turn the bed full size, you remove the seat cushions from the dining area and slide the bottom part of the bed frame out, insert the cut-out mattress and pull the fitted sheet over. The fit is nice and snug and you don’t feel the seam in the mattress at all during sleep, and because of the bed frame and sheet holding it all together they don’t fall apart in the night either.
