Full description & story below

Custom-built long wheelbase Sprinter campervan conversion with only 50k miles. Full Mercedes service history.

W906 – 313 CDI – 2.1L engine, offering the perfect balance of power and economy. Best shape Sprinter.

Full matte green 3M wrap on the sides, with the roof left white to reflect heat. New front and rear bumpers, most side plastics, and front grille.

Can be configured as a 3, 4, 5, or 6-seater depending on your needs. Three individual chairs are light enough to be removed by one person. 5 Sleeping positions

Remove all the seats to enjoy extra space and have comfortable seating in the awning room.

Unique lightweight aluminium furniture in fine texture matte black powder coat, with matching bamboo and green elements for wall storage.

Huge sink and a generously sized 80-liter Waeco 12V fridge. Soft-close drawers

A brand new CADAC 2 Cook 2 is supplied, which can be used both inside and outside. In my opinion, if you’re cooking a proper meal while camping, it should be done outside. This is why there isn’t a permanent cooktop, allowing for a really decent-sized worktop for meal prep and washing up.

The stainless steel fresh water tank is internal, preventing it from freezing. The water pump is mounted on a specially made rubber mount to ensure it operates as quietly as possible. There are no ugly filler caps, keeping the exterior look clean and sleek.

The insulated hot water tank is underslung and heated by an additional coolant loop from the engine, providing instant free hot water as soon as you arrive at your camp spot. It can also be heated via the 240V mains element.

A hidden 240V hook-up socket is located under the rear step in a stainless enclosure, powering two internal 240V sockets.

The rear garage features a brass shower hose point for alfresco bathing. The Porta-Potty and portable grey waste system allow the sink to drain either into the portable waste or directly onto the ground if parked in an appropriate place to do so. This portable waste system enables you to leave the van set up for a week with the awning out, without needing to put the awning down and move the van to drain.

Top-spec Eberspacher diesel heater mounted under the driver’s seat, with ducts leading directly to the rear passengers and the back of the van.

The Max-air fan comes with an additional Max-air LED light and blackout blind surround trim.

High-end Ltech touch lighting controls manage both internal and external LED strips, which are dimmable and can switch between cool white and warm orange glow. A handheld remote is included for convenience. Additionally, there’s an independent dimmable LED strip in the kitchen, allowing you to make coffee in the morning without disturbing any sleepy heads.

CTEK electrical system with 220W Renolgy Solar panel and 220Ah leisure battery under the double swivel seat. The CTEK system can utilise the leisure battery to help start the van if the starter battery is low.

Originally, I installed two flexi solar panels, but these panels failed. Very recently, I replaced them with a solid solar panel mounted on the roof bars. This allows you to use the old solar panels as a sun deck.

The Lagun butterfly bamboo table has two mounting points. Great for adding a surface to the awning space.

Alpine amp with enough channels to drive the under bench sub and speakers hidden in the top of the rear doors. Also powers the front door speakers.

Wall panels carefully wrapped in grey fabric. Fully insulated with sound deadening, high end closed cell foam and topped with an insulating foil layer.

Wunderbug magnetic window blinds in matching fabric.

Lime green windscreen blinds

A huge, comfy L-shaped fixed sofa that can sleep two people—one lengthwise and a shorter person across the width of the van. No bed setup is required for these two.

There is a platform along the back behind the sofa, which was used as a child’s bed before the layout was changed to a dropdown double. The original plan included twin bunks on the side walls.

A child’s bed can be mounted across the cab, suspended from stainless brackets.

The full aluminium platform bed is lowered via a 4 to1 pulley system and locates into sturdy brackets on the pivoting bamboo shelves. The Stitches & Steel carbon fibre bed rail is not included in the sale, as it is no longer needed. The aluminium platform is all you need for the mattress. You can buy your own mattress suited to your comfort levels, ensuring that no one has slept in it before.

Stitches & Steel roof bars with custom-made low-profile stainless brackets. A single bike rack is mounted on the roof bars alongside the solar panel

Custom-made stainless awning bracket positions the awning so it remains flush with the side of the van.

The Thule awning includes a full awning room, making it ideal for setting up your outdoor kitchen.

I crafted the rear step from thick gauge steel, which has been galvanized and then painted to ensure it won’t rust. The tow bar has only been used once for my bike rack and has never towed a trailer or caravan.

The factory van specifications include cruise control, air conditioning, satellite navigation, Bluetooth, a reversing camera, and alloys that have been repainted in matte black with new centre caps. The tyres are Michelin load-rated tires. All-terrain tyres were next on the list of upgrades, but the Michelins still had plenty of tread left.

The campervan is equipped with a CCTV system and high-end magnetically operated locks for the side and back doors. It also features stainless anti-drill parts and catalytic converter protection.

Will make some MOLLE storage panels for the rear doors and think about a shower bracket and proper internal step brackets over the time this is listed.

I have lovingly built this campervan over many years with my Dad, making virtually everything bespoke. The reason it took so long is twofold: first, my wife wanted a proper motorhome for our four kids, so we bought one, reducing the urgency to finish this one; second, my fabrication business took off, leaving me too busy to complete and sell it. Although it will be sad to see it go, it must be sold. It has only been used for one trip to Cornwall during lockdown, before the wrap was done, hence the low mileage.
