Stunning Scandinavian Design - Off Grid Camper

Self converted three years ago to create an off grid campervan, suitable for living in too.
We built it to be both a beautiful space to be in but also super functional for one or two people.
This is a fully functional off grid camper, which is gas free to help with self sustainability, and also making it a nicer environment to be in.

The kitchen features a 65litre fridge, a sink with cold water (and a long hose that can double as shower head), an induction stove and plenty of usable counter space to create meals with ease. An air fryer could easily be added to this set up to add even more functionality.

The van features a compost toilet and a shower cubical. This cubicle can be used for taking full showers by lifting out the toilet unit, but a shower curtain would be recommended to help with splashing. In the winter time we added a portable shower which we could then heat up the water on the stove.

We installed a modular water storage system, this design makes it very easy to fill up anywhere but also keeping an eye on how much you have left as you change between jugs as necessary. Another advantage to this system is you can take as many or few containers as you think your trip requires and gain more storage.
Currently the van has 4 x 25 litres (100 litres total) or fresh water and an underslung grey tank that holds 25 litres. Both the shower drain and sink is plumbed into this grey tank, which is fitted with a tap for easy emptying.

There is a very comfortable fixed bed which can also be converted into an inward or outward facing sofa.
Underneath this, in the front, is a pull out table and bench which is perfect for meals or card games but then very conveniently stores away. Within the benches and also below the table there is ample storage for food and clothes etc.
Under the bed in the back, is the main brains of the van with the main electrical components, water storage and more space for storing larger or less frequently used items.
You will notice that to keep the space light and open the only overhead storage in the van is kept in the space above the cab.

The electrical system has been built to a pretty hefty standard, no one wants to constantly be worrying about battery level.
The system includes:

2 x 30a MPPT Renogy charge controllers
3000W Renogy inverter
300ah Fogstar Lithium battery with Bluetooth connection
60ah DCDC Renogy charge controller
Max air Fan

This van has been fully insulated throughout with a mixture of closed cell spray foam and rigid insulation board. The insulation in combination with a 5kw diesel heater keeps this van toasty and warm year round. There is also a fully insulated ‘jump through’ hatch between cab and living area.

Roof box on roof which allows for extra solar panels, surfboard storage and also helps with privacy by concealing the fan and roof hatch. This could be removed but would result in only space for 1 solar panel.
