VW T25 Westfalia California 1.6 ‘JX’ Diesel
This is an excellent example of the classic California Westfalia pop-top in white. Imported from Germany, 1.6 ‘JX’ diesel, LHD.
Only three owners from new – the original German owners who bought from new and two owners in the UK since it was imported from Germany in 2009. The VW specialist who has serviced it commented that this is the one of the best examples he has seen. The photos are testament to this.
The van has been stored undercover every winter in storage, so the body work is in excellent condition.
The original German owners upgraded the van with factory fitted Plexiglass double glazing and black moulded surrounds at purchase, so the spec is very similar to the Atlantic model. In terms of other modifications, the van has black EMPI 5 spoke wheels (cost £1k); 2 no. professionally fitted 3-point rear seat belts and a Fiamma (F35 Pro 250cm) awning (£500).
The van has been well maintained with full service history, fully stamped service record since new, all receipts, original paperwork and even the original VW sales brochure. MOT expires April 2026.
Interior excellent, all original including curtains and original canvas (slight tear). Stereo/ CD/ media player. Two burner gas hob, 3 way fridge. Large double bed downstairs, large double foldaway bed in roof. Fresh water tank, waste water tank. Original Paulman rear bike rack to hold 3 bikes.
Also included: a blue Khyham Quick Erect 4 berth drive away awning (cost approx. £400), Just Kampers breathable cover (cost £100), thermal window mat set.
It’s a pleasure to drive. Recently fitted new main battery. Low annual miles as can be seen from all the annual MOT certificates. Total miles 149,000.
We are expecting a new baby in October and the van is no longer practical, so it is time to let someone else enjoy it as much as we have.
