I meticulously engineered and crafted this campervan with a focus on both quality and functionality. By adopting an open-plan and expansive layout, I’ve optimised the living area while ensuring it’s well equipped for enjoyable and practical journeys.
This model exudes an off-road aesthetic, perfectly complemented by its rugged features. The BF Goodrich All Terrain tyres mounted on matte black 16-inch rims truly enhance the van’s appearance. Pairing these with a stainless steel bullbar and LED daytime running lamps against the striking Cumulus Grey paintwork creates a captivating and eye-catching campervan!
When it comes to the interior, no expense has been spared. The handcrafted cabinetry, constructed from top-quality furniture-grade birch plywood, is adorned with a welcoming Farrow and Ball Plummet grey finish. Enhanced with a durable polyurethane/linseed oil varnish, the natural grain of the wood is beautifully accentuated, resulting in a homely and cosy environment.
The kitchen offers ample worktop space and practicality. Equipped with a high-quality two-burner gas hob and oven, you can prepare home-cooked meals with ease. Additionally, I’ve included a chic black granite sink featuring a convenient pull out spray spout tap, ensuring effortless clean up after mealtime.
The living area is centred around a fixed bench seat for two, accompanied by a removable table top supported by a Lagun swivel leg for effortless use. Placed strategically at the front of the van, this seating arrangement allows for uninterrupted views through the open sliding door. And if the weather turns unfavorable, you can easily switch gears and enjoy a movie on the high-mounted 12V TV positioned opposite the seating area.
In the bedroom area, the van features a full-sized fixed double bed, complete with dimmable reading lights and USB charging sockets conveniently placed on each side. Additional storage is provided by a pair of overhead cupboards positioned above the foot of the bed. For a touch of ambiance and a connection with nature, you can stargaze through the expansive Dometic skylight situated above the bed.
During numerous off-grid adventures, the van has been my reliable companion for several days at a time. Thanks to its 320 watts of solar power, the van’s 230Ah battery bank is well-equipped to sustain the 12V lighting circuits and power the highly efficient 12V Dometic fridge, ensuring that essential amenities remain operational without the need for external power sources.
An underslung 25-liter LPG tank, featuring a sill-mounted refill point, supplies gas to the hob, oven, and the excellent Truma Combi boiler. This setup ensures a continuous flow of hot water to both the kitchen tap and the Bull Finch shower point located at the back of the van. To enhance comfort, a delightful warm air heating system, coupled with eco-friendly sheep’s wool insulation, maintains a cosy atmosphere inside the van even on chilly evenings.
After numerous excursions, the van’s design has demonstrated its exceptional functionality and comfort, making each stay a pleasure. I sincerely hope that the new owner finds as much joy in the van as we have during our adventures.
Exterior:
Upgraded Suspension – Most converted vehicles will be too heavy for the standard front and rear suspension components. I have fitted Koni Active dampers designed specifically for campers on the front paired with stiffer VB Air coil springs and a VB Air Semi Air kit on the rear. These modifications have raised the ride height of the vehicle and improved the safety and driving comfort.
