Tilley’s conversion was completed just in time for the arrival of our baby in 2021 so was designed with comfort, convenience and storage storage storage in mind! The fixed bed means there’s no scrabbling about to get ready for the road every day, and the full-length wardrobe means your clothes are readily available without having to sift through boxes and bags. The under-bed space has been divided in two, providing a large boot area accessible from the back, and a large storage space accessible from inside via a slide-up door. There are two sizeable overhead-cupboards, a deep kitchen drawer above the fridge, and a storage shelf under the sink, as well as open storage above the cab. One dining bench houses the electrics and the diesel heater, with a little space left over for additional storage, while the other is purely for storage.

Behind the upholstered panelling the van is fully insulated with Thermafleece Supasoft Polyester Insulation, and the hand-made blinds are backed with bubble foil insulation. This makes the van nice and cosy, but when you do need an extra warm boost, a quick blast of the diesel heater gets the whole space toasty in a matter of minutes.

The conversion comes complete with a Dometic-Smev 9222 hob and sink and a 48-litre Dometic Coolmatic CRX50 premium compressor fridge-freezer which can run for 2-3 days on a fully-charged battery. All purchased in 2020 with manuals retained. Gas is contained in a locker under the sink, with the required drop-out vents for ventilation. Water is supplied and waste water collected via convenient removable containers under the sink.
