We bought Ace after a very long and careful hunt. She was converted in 2021 by a Brighton carpenter experienced in van conversions. People call her a Hackney flat on wheels! Her units are built-in birch ply with solid formica cabinet doors and hydraulic hinges.
She’s currently listed for rental on Quirky Campers, here’s some info from the description:
Seeking a stylish hotel with an ever changing view? Aaall righty then! Born for adventure, this once humble van is now a luxurious 2 berth campervan located in the sunny seaside town of Brighton. Whether you’re looking for some solo R&R or to whisk that special someone on an escape to remember, we promise this camper will fit like a glove.
At the heart of Acevantura is his large seating area, perfect for socialising, playing games or hosting a dinner party with friends. Come nighttime, the seating area transforms into a cosy king-size bed for two (or 3 if there’s a child… room for a little one!) Cooking up a feast has never been easier, Acevantura comes with all the pots and pans needed, two indoor gas hobs and a refrigerator to keep your food fresh.
The ace up your sleeve, this camper is ready to adventure. Ace offers everything you need to feel comfortable on the road. There is a diesel heater to keep you warm on those colder nights, a toilet and an outdoor shower so you can experience what it is to truly be at one in nature. Trust us, you don’t have to be a detective to work out this is the campervan for you!
Ace can go off-grid but depending on the trip you have planned, is sometimes better suited to campsites. She’s solar powered, so you can power the fridge and charge using the USB ports off-grid, but if you want to use lots of power, using the campsite hookups can be handy.
Description of Beds: Ace Ventura sleeps 2 adults in style with a huge bigger than king-size bed, and a small child can fit in too if needed
Description of Seating: Ace can accommodate several people sitting comfortably around the table. Three belted seats in the front (including driver) with headrests.
Description of Electrical Setup: We have an extension with 3 sockets that connect to a campsites mains for unlimited power. 2 USBs hooked up to our solar panel.
Water and Sanitation: Our campervan has an outdoor shower attachment at the back of the van and the water is heated via the diesel heater. Ace has a mini, portable toilet in her own cupboard by the door which you can take anywhere to use in private. Water is available through the sink. The tank is easily refillable through a little pour hole in one of the benches. There is a 10 litre fixed tank in there that supplies water to the sink via a pump.
Type of Heating: There is a diesel heater which fires up in minutes and blasts out heat.
Extra Information: Ace saw us (Ali, Roxy and our bonkers Spaniel Fyfedog) around Europe last year for 3 months and didn’t skip a beat. She was our transport, shelter, kitchen, dance floor and sanctuary. Ace looked after us and we looked after her. She is all heart and made for adventures.
Even though Ace is a Jumbo van you don’t need a special licence.
Ace can sleep 2 adults and one small child comfortably across the super kingsize bed

Quirky loves this style means that Quirky Campers would potentially approve this vehicle for hiring. However, Quirky have not approved a Gas Safe certificate, a Weighbridge certificate, or the vehicle's electrics. Buyers must check these themselves. For some tips on what to look out for read this. If the listing has no Gas Safe certificate, no unladen weight and no electrical sign-off please proceed with caution!
