She’s fresh out the body shop after having MOT advisories repaired, and ready to go to her new home! More recently, I’ve had fuel lines replaced in August 2024, welding completed and brake pads replaced in May 2023.
I purchased the van in August 2022 – she’s proved herself a reliable and fuel efficient vehicle and we’ve adventured all over Europe. The van is a dream off-grid camper van balancing rustic & cosy style with practicality. Being a high-top, she’s spacious inside (at 5ft 5” I can stand up comfortably to cook). There is ample storage for longer trips. As it’s short wheelbase, parking in busy cities is also a doddle and the van is easy to drive and manoeuvre.
Bonus luxuries I have loved are the toilet, fridge and plenty of power from the solar. I’ve enjoyed wild camp-outs as much as I have cosy movie nights. Similarly, with the diesel heater inside, it’s a van for any season.
There is light corrosion underside, which is to be expected for a vehicle of her age. Sunshine is MOT’d until May 2025.
Sunshine is a dream camper van bursting with personality and charm and her new owners will love her as much as I do!
She’s rustic little camper made with reclaimed and recycled materials but not compromising on style or function.
Living space
*Double bench seat at the sliding door which houses the Thetford Portapotti, 2 kw diesel heater and storage area. When the bed is in use this area is still free so you can have a morning cuppa whilst your travel companion has a lie in.
*L shaped kitchen with tons of storage all created from gorgeous reclaimed materials from the scaffy counter.
*Campigaz CV40 double stove which has a designated storage space.
*Ceramic countertop sink with custom copper tap linked to a whale submersible 12v pump.
*10L fresh and 10L grey water containers neatly stored away in their own cupboard under the sink. .
*2 large bench seats which have huge storage capacity underneath. The backs of the benches double up as the runners for the bed.
* Slide out stunning pallet table on drawer runners for smooth action. Big enough for a dinner for two
* Space saving slide out bed allowing you maximum room during the day. Super comfy memory foam pads provide a small double bed.
*Boxed in wall sections double as extra bed space and kitchen storage perfect for housing your hot drink of choice for a cold evening or all the herbs and spices you need to rustle up something tasty.
* 2 fixed windows along one side offering the chance for stunning views. One of these has a slide opening for letting the cool breeze in.
*Hand made roller blinds shut out the light when you need it and these match the curtains between the cab and living area.
*Fiamma roof vent.
*jfk 50 12v compressor fridge stored neatly under the bed area.
*Wood effect vinyl flooring.
*Garage space located from the rear of the van. On one side you have your services but there still plenty of room for wet gear, fire bowl etc.

Insulation
* Recycled plastic bottle insulation from Celtic Sustainables.
* Bubble insulation and foil tape to create vapour barrier throughout.
Please note: I have made a few modifications (improvements!) since these photos were taken. There are also very minor bits of everyday wear-and-tear inside through general use – but please do come and have a look for yourself. Slide out bed that stores neatly away during the day giving loads of space.
When it’s time to turn in the bed can be quickly made into a small double.
Width is 114cm and the length is approx 178cm. As we have added the recess and raised the bed you get a bit of extra space for sleeping.
