Meet Shelly a Ford transit connect van who is also a beautifully hand crafted two berth camper. Shelly was created to escape covid doom last summer, providing the perfect home for a months get away in France for two people, one of whom is 6.1ft!
We wanted to make a stealth camper that looks like a regular van from the outside, this is one of the reason we decided not to cut windows in. However it didn’t take long to realise that this decision also meant the insulation and condensation protection was working incredibly, allowing us to have perfectly cool sleeps even in the south of France in August.
Shelly boasts a cosy tongue and groove wood cladded interior with a solid oak retractable kitchen counter that has built in storage underneath. A small kitchen unit with 12v pump sink, 12v extractor fan, 110amp lead acid leisure battery, plenty of storage and dimmable LED lights.
Due to her small stature Shelly can fit under any height restricts we’ve ever come across, meaning you will often find yourself in the most secluded spots that other campers can’t access. The bed and sofa can easily be removed, meaning that Shelly can be used as a regular van between trips.
