The Green Goddess is for sale!

We’ve decided to sell our beloved 1997 SWB T4 Westfalia AKA The Green Goddess, as we’ve moved to the world of caravanning. We purchased it in April 2019 from a friend who had owned it and looked after it well since 2002. It has been taken to Europe on several occasions over the years, hence the mileage. It’s an original factory conversion Westfalia California Coach, with Kaktus interior and the following features:

Left-hand drive

Manual transmission

2.5 turbo diesel engine

4 belted seats

315,000km on the clock

MOT till 28.06.2022 (we will MOT it before sale)

Last serviced June 2020

Clutch replaced in 2017, original alternator replaced in recent months

4 berth (double berth ‘rock n roll’ bed plus double berth in the pop-top roof)

2 swivel front seats

Original Kaktus interior complete with all curtains including removable front cabin curtain

Dometic coolbox-style fridge

2-ring gas hob

Ample storage throughout

Kenwood speakers, mini disk player and a variety of mini disks!

Fiamma 3-bike rack in good condition

Tow bar

Leisure battery replaced a few years ago. Unfortunately I can’t be more specific as I can’t read the mechanic’s hand-written invoices!

Original canvas in the roof with zip vents, which has been patched in a couple of places, but it’s still very much water-tight and our son always sleeps up there when we go camping.

There is rust over the wheel arches plus a couple of other pockets – this would need work done, so we’ve reflected the cost of this in the sale price

Central locking system which needs some attention

It is in need of a bit of TLC, but there is nothing out of the ordinary for its age
