With exceptionally low mileage for the age of this van, the mechanical side is not a worry either. Read more below.
Mechanical
This Renault master has the 2.8 dci engine under the bonnet, famed for its bulletproof reliability, paired with the 5 speed gearbox of similar status. This is known to be the ideal combination for these vans, and with this particular vehicle having such low miles on the clock, it hasn’t had to do much work in its 23 years walking this earth! Now your mind is at ease with the mechanical situation, what about the chassis?
Chassis
A concern when buying a van of such age is usually what the vehicle looks like underneath, if there’s any corrosion in areas not typically seen from outside of the vehicle. This concern is valid in many cases, when you consider transits, sprinters, and Ducatos of a similar time.
Renault, however, took a different approach when crafting such a fine piece of machinery, and considering aging and road use for years to come, they opted to galvanise every master, movano and interstar that left there factory in north-eastern France, giving fantastic rustproofing that is still reflected in todays offerings of the older vans.
MOT
It Passed its MOT on December 4th, 2023 which will expire on December 3 2024.
