Ford Transit MK7 Medium Top SWB
I purchased this lovely van in July 2022 at the beginning of my van life adventure, since that time I have done 2 tours around the Alps driving from Scotland all the way through, France, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. It was great on all the roads (especially the hair pin bends in Italy!). After these adventures I continued my adventures all over the England, Wales and Scotland – including the islands. The biggest selling point for me about this van is the fact it is a SWB but a medium top – this is the best of both world as you can stand up but not have to worry about parking a huge vehicle.
This van has had a new engine – a previous owner to myself fuelled it with petrol instead of diesel, so at around 96k miles (I have invoice of this) the engine and all parts associated with the engine were replaced. Since owning the van I have carried out all service and MOTs (next MOT due July 2025), I have recently replaced the front tyres and the rears have loads of tread left.
She is a lovely van and I have spent 2.5 years travelling full time in this lovely space and have seen some wonderful adventures with it. It will be a sad sale as I am very much attached to my lovely van, I am only selling as I recently moved into a home again and I will now need something small to suit my new space.
Currently the van is based in Wales as that is where my family are based and I am visiting. I do live in Scotland so I can open this to anyone in Scotland as well if interested.
The conversion of the van was partially done when I purchased it (I believe it only had 2 owners before me as it was a service vehicle). On purchase the insulation and rock n roll bed had been installed (and certificate with the bed). Since I have added in hard plywood shelves, a kitchen unit, a space for a fridge (which rolls out and tucks away), and curtains. I carry a tank of water and I do not have a sink on board as I wanted to save space. There is also rubber matting. The design of my van is simple as I had listed time when I purchased it to when I was travelling to do anything fancy to it, but it has worked great for me. I think this also leaves room for anyone wanting to put their own stamp on it and make it their own style.
I also had a Sony stereo (has Apple CarPlay) and reversing camera professionally fitted and can provide the details of the company who installed this.
There is a rock and roll bed in the van which does have two (certified with a certificate) seats. The rock and roll bed is very comfortable and large (double bed), I just slept on it myself but could easily fit two people on.
The contact details for this vehicle are no longer available because it has either sold or the listing has expired.
